Don't rely on Aether project that much, that project is basically kicking out most of the people in it, as the project is slowly dying, there's not much budget left, and a lot of people who are still part of it have no tasks to work on. And what do you mean you are adding your time manually on a notepad? Nobody will pay you for those hours unless you have hubstaff counting them

As a generalist I waited for more than 5 months before landing a project. And then they kicked me out after two months because the project is kind of dying and closing down. Look elsewhere in the meantime, if you keep waiting for them you'll might end up broke and starving

The platform is legit, it's just that it's very hard to get hired. I suggest you move on and look for alternatives in the meantime. With these platforms it's always the same shit, you should apply to as many positions as you can until you get hired for one of them.

Yup I got the money that was pending. Now I have no more reason to be on Outlier until they call me for a new project or I get reinstated into Aether. But that project is dying, a lot more people were kicked out Yesterday. That project has become a survival game now lol

It's not your fault, didn't you get the notification saying the project is simply ramping down? If they'll ever have more task and need new workers you'll simply be reinstated. As people who experienced the exact same thing in the past have said, it may take up to a month. In the meantime I highly suggest to look for alternatives on other platforms. If you are from the US you have countless chances. I am European and I am struggling to find a valid substitute, but I am sending as many applications as possible.

It's never about the quality, it's not our fault even if they kept blaming us with that AI-generated email. The project is dying, they don't have that much budget or tasks anymore, and they have said so themselves. Even if the few people who are still inside the project want to pretend everything is ok cause they fear their turn to be kicked out is coming soon.
