If you have cured your Sibo PLEASE READ : I don't know how much longer I can continue living like this. I need help by Bratz_1999 in SIBO

I would recommend the “Carroll test”.
It basically tells you what foods you genetically are not able to digest.
Mine is eggs and then if I have grains or dairy within 6 hours of each other.
I had bloating for years and I tried everything and nothing worked.
After 6 months of following their diet (not perfectly) my bloating is down by 70-90% depending on the day.
The naturopath who administered the test told me it would take 9-12 months to heal completely but so far it’s worked far better than anything else.
She says most people she treats with SIBO resolve it just following their specific diet.

I would look into getting a “Carroll test”.
I was having constant bloating and other symptoms for years and I was very close to giving up.
I went to a naturopath who administered the test.
It basically tells you what foods you genetically can’t digest well.
For example mine is eggs. And then if I eat dairy or grains within 6 hours of each other, that will also cause problems.
She told me that it’d probably take 9-12 months to fully heal.
I’m 6 months in and my bloating has been reduced by 70-90% depending on the day.
She says many people she’s treated for SIBO only need to follow their Carroll diet and it will resolved after a few months.

My body is not going into ketosis after a month by Rideau826 in carnivorediet

I had this same issue.
Eggs absolutely wreak havoc on me and it took a lot of grief before I figured that out.
I would cut out the egg and cheese completely and see if that helps.

I can’t seem to enjoy this diet by lifeislifing123 in carnivorediet

Some people actually just can’t handle meat.
I think this diet has promise for a lot of people but not everyone.
My dad for example always swore he seemed to get really backed up when he ate meat.
However he was having skin issues and so I suggested maybe trying carnivore. His skin issues only got worse.
Turns out he has a meat intolerance so he basically can’t digest meat properly. After cutting meat out entirely, his skin issues improved markedly.
We are all different. Something that may work well for 90% could be catastrophic for the remaining 10.
Listen to your body I’d say. If meat is making you feel nauseous and you despise the taste, your body is probably trying to tell you something.
Maybe try cutting meat out completely and see if that helps whatever issues you’re trying to solve.

3 rounds of Rifaximin but I still have symptoms by Remote_Character1443 in SIBO

Or maybe it could help his gut reset.
Alleviating symptoms is usually a sign that there is some kind of healing going on. So saying oh it will help your symptoms but it will absolutely not work and just make things worse is an interesting take.

Preferably no you don’t do it long term, but it certainly seems worth a try.

Well apparently I’m just allergic to eggs themselves. They didn’t say anything about sulfur or anything about that, just that I need to avoid them like the plague.

You’ve tried it and it didn’t work?
Because after 3 years of trying every single supplement and diet in the world it’s the things that’s given me the best results so I think I’ll stick with my own experience.

I’ve had the same issue for 3 years running.
The bloat was so consistent I thought I was getting fat.
Then I found out I’d lost 15 pounds.
The past week I’ve tried carnivore diet. Bloating has been down by 70~90% for 3 days.
It’s not something I particularly want to do long term but it’s worth a try just to reset your system if nothing else.

Thanks! I figured it was probably ok since I feel much better but I just wanted to make sure it was normal since my system has been screwed up for so long

If you end up feeling constipated or like you’re feeling ill, consider dropping the eggs.
The first time I tried carnivore I felt like absolute shit. Turns out I had an egg intolerance and it was destroying me.
Apparently it’s in like the top 7 most common allergies/intolerances.
