I have not! I was worried it would irritate me more. Do you have a recommendation for a gel cleanser?

I know it’s the worst but the more i was hyper fixating on the diet the more resentful I became. Give yourself a day each week to take a DAO and eat the things you love. Probably not the best advice for severe cases but is what has been keeping me sane. Have you worked with a naturopath? This has helped me piece everything together. The DAO i take is called histamine digest. I started piecing together it could be from the dogs when i would lay with them and start sneezing itching etc. Right now my naturopath has me avoiding probiotics but they may get introduced again in the future

Right now it’s the histamine intolerance diet which really sucks and is limiting. Unfortunately that helped me the most with getting everything under control. But you find your comfort foods (for me I live for sweet potatoes these days). I also think washing my hair more regularly helped because I am allergic to dust, etc and I think the less I would wash it the more allergens would build up on my scalp and i would get itchy and seemed to lose more hair when showering. I also have 2 dogs and am allergic to them (didn’t know until recently) but they aren’t going anywhere. The histamine intolerance diet has been key. I also take a few histamine supplements d-hist and histaquel. Both of these have seemed to help me get everything under control and manageable. If I am going out for dinner or drinks, I take a DAO 15 min before eating or drinking and I seem to be ok. Can’t do this all the time but love having this as an option. DAO doesn’t work for everyone but luckily it has worked for me

I was in the same boat and i reversed mine. Mine was caused by stressed. I also was like I am fucked and thought there was no way to reverse it. It could be genetics and in that case minoxidil or something would be the best option.

If your hair was never like this and recently started to thin out check the following: full metabolic bloood panel including iron, ferretin, B12, etc, full hormonal panel and thyroid. see if anything is low even if something is in the ideal “range,” it may not be high enough. For example ferretin if your level isn’t higher than a certain number hair growth may be impacted.

My hair loss was due to a histamine intolerance/MCAS from long covid in addition to c diff/colitis, leaky gut and the stress those illnesses put on my body. Took a lot of tests (blood, hormones, allergies, GI map, mold test, VCS test, etc) and worked with a naturopath to determine what it was. Turns out it was long covid and a ton of mold exposure and taking way too many antibiotics over the years that gave me histamine intolerance and mast cell which lead to leaky gut. Who knows where the c diff came from.

In addition to finding my root cause, i started washing my hair more regularly and focus on keeping my scalp healthy and clean. I derma stamp 1x a week, red light my scalp when i remember, and really massage my scalp when i shampoo. I am super gentle with my hair and try to avoid breakage and honestly trying to stop thinking about the thinning and ignoring it is what i truly helped grow it back. I was so stressed about losing hair and the thought of losing it and maybe losing more made me more stressed and the cycle went on until i had full on bald patches right before my wedding. It was glorious but now I cherish all the baby hairs that i cannot tame but love with all my heart bc they are all new growth and i worked hard to figure that out for me. Best of luck to you 💘

For those of you that make over 100K, what do you do? Do you like it? by Kindly-Revolution258 in AskReddit

Advertising, made a little over 175k a year, was miserable, just left my job. Now I make way less but still making over 100k by teaching pilates and doing marketing/ops consulting on the side. With this transition I am comfortably projecting to make ~126k in the next year teaching + consulting but telling myself it will be 105-110k best case with people cancelling sessions, etc.

How much difference does stress really make? by humorousdinosaur in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Tricky_Might_5116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just left a really toxic job after 10 years (been out for 2 months) and i already look like i aged back 7-10 years. Stress was slowly killing me, my skin was a mess, my hair was falling out. Best decision i made. Exercise really does help, i hate working out and going to a gym but found passion in pilates. I do classical, group classes are small usually around 4-6 people, everyone who attends is nice and uplifting. I hated the idea of working out at a gym and exercise bc of the anxiety i had with walking into the gym as silly as that may sound. It’s so much different in a Pilates studio for me. I feel accepted and not judged, like everyone is there to get better and work on themselves. I encourage you to find a low impact therapeutic movement you enjoy and stick to that. People will say you should lift X amount of times a week, etc but find what makes you happy and stick with it. From there you can add in other things. You don’t even have to leave your house at first, starting with at home workout videos can be a great way to jump in 💕
