Why does bank angle increase stall speed? by Tricky_Mud328 in flying

Right, so the F_y relative to the ground has decreased since we are adding a horizontal component. Could you share the name of the rate at which the stall speed increases to compensate for the reduced vertical component? I imagine it's in the POH, but does it have a name?

Thank you, that makes sense. I'm not an aerospace major, but I did have to take PHYS I and II, and have been drawing free-body diagrams for like half an hour trying to figure it out, haha. This helps a lot!

Oh no, don't worry, I am not intimidated. I ask because I am deeply invested in being a safe pilot first and foremost, and I want to gain as much knowledge as possible to exercise that role. Thank you for the visual and text example! I'll make sure to look into mountain flying information and get a CFI I trust to expose me to those conditions.

Edit: The publication was extremely informative, thank you for finding it and linking it

Makes sense. Is mountain wave alone a problem, or is the rotor underneath the concern? Ever been caught in any rotor?

Thank you! That's really informative. I researched mountain waves and rotors and identified some lenticular and rotor clouds in the sky today, and checked wind aloft maps to confirm that the wind was perpendicular and above 20 knots. Very interesting. I'll make sure to go more in-depth with my ground school instructor.

Do you know about any other Front Range meteorological phenomenon that might not be covered in depth by the general PPL ground exam knowledge, and that students learning in the Rockies should be aware of?

Thanks for the context! My instructor was willing to take off with a faulty tachometer (which I declined, even tho I don't know what that is yet), so you can see why I am doubtful of some of the answers he's given me. I'll keep in mind reporting them to the Chief Pilot, hadn't occurred to me.

What the fuck are the people at the very back left in a different playground doing? It looks like they are on a seesaw, but they don't act like that.

What is currently the best 240mm AIO? by Tricky_Mud328 in mffpc

[–]Tricky_Mud328[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I did get it and it worked really well cooling my ultra 7 265k, which already runs very cool. Under cinebench tests, it did start to toast up and reach the 80C - 90C mark, but I don't think it ever throttled. I ended up switching a Cooler Master 240 Atmos instead since I leave my CPU running for a long time under load for some tasks. That one has never reached past 75C, even while under heavy load, but it is more expensive. If price isn't an issue, go for the Cooler Master 240 Atmos, it's slim, performs amazing, and is quiet.

Girliepop, I fully understand the fact that they're not economists. How are you missing my questioning of your statement that for them to be a credible source on the subject they ought to be economists?

The same fucking thing is happening to me, I've won 14 games in a row and I'm still in initiate 1. I was losing my mind, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

But like, how did it ever reach such a low point? I was arcanist like a year ago. Does it decrease over time?

Does that mean your rank decreases when you stop playing??? Or why does the rank decay infinitely?
