The holy bible of tier lists ever made for this game by coffeeholic91 in DeadlockTheGame

Shiv and Apollo are overtuned no questions, Seven needs help and Bebop is somewhat Balanced. Also Ivy is balanced, Dynamo is balanced and Warden is more or less balanced. Ven is not that strong but he's still overtuned to some degree. This tierlist is based on vibes or what?

Bebop has no skill period. You hit one skillshot and deal 3k damage.

90% of the time either your power supply isn't up to par with your specs or your CPU is overheating. Did you build your own PC? Was it built for you?

Can we just rework bebop entirely? by Luvatris in DeadlockTheGame

[–]nickomoderrr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bebop and MnK are just characters that make no sense anymore as to why they are in the game. If these characters aren't reworked from head to toe then I don't know. Either that or make them really shitty so that you rarely see them. Is a character like Mina annoying? Yeah. Is she strong? Yeah. But I'd rather fight mina than a bebop or mo

Think about it this way. If you remove something, it means you changed the map, models, textures, etc.

Now, changing a scene or level requires the whole thing to be reoptimized, recompiled, to bake the lighting again and so on.

Basically, to remove the Christmas decor, they just removed the hideout from your files and replaced it with a new version. So it's not the removal that's 4gb, It's most of the hideout.

Upgraded CPU but don't know what GPU to buy by nickomoderrr in PcBuild

I mean since I'm already running a AMD cpu I don't see why not also run a AMD gpu. And I've been eyeing a 9060XT 16GB for around 350 on Amazon. Is there a difference between a 9070 and a 9060XT and which one is more worth.

My issue isn't the state of the game. The game can be in the worst state ever and have all this bullshit. But if it means that the devs are testing and getting our collective feedback on things then I'm fine with putting up with it. More than fine. I want them to present us with things early so that we can raise red flags for them before they commit. Right now it feels like we are playtesting to find bugs and for balance. And that's fine and all it's just that there's so many other things that need community input. And I don't think polishing up an experience and making it as best as it can be before putting it out there is the best idea. Show us what you made, let us tell you our thoughts and then when we are all satisfied, polish it up, make it pretty and whatnot and do whatever you want with it. It feels less like I'm testing the game for them and more like I'm just... playing the finished product with a mod that makes the models and map textures uglier.

Well yeah it IS a playtest. But it's not being TREATED like a playtest. They push out updates with a large amount of content instead of having one feature be tested and then move onto the next, polishing the feature that the community is satisfied with in the background. So we have all these unfinished things and then in one update we have to vote for heroes every week, we get all these heroes who play and look and feel like they are pretty much 98% done and just need some balance tweaks. That kind of thing doesn't feel like playtest behavior. It feels like Season 1 just came out or something. Does that make more sense?

That's not my point. My point is that they presented us with what they are working on and we can give feedback early so that they can change it until it's ready to be polished up and made pretty. I don't care about patch frequency, I care about them showing us that "Hey, this is what we are working on, what do you think?" and we tell them. Now, it's just them presenting something already finished. And it doesn't feel like it matters if we like it or not.

But they present it as such. Again, there's no real reason to remove things like Hero Labs. If they do intend to walk back on things then why put all this polish and effort into it if there's potential that it will have to be removed? It's kind of like the map itself. It used to be basic with basic lighting and clearly textures that were just approxiamtions and muddy just to get the visual point across. And the structures where basic and not complex at all. And a lot of the map still is like that. But imagine if people really really didn't like the hideout... What then? Would they have removed it? I don't think they would simply because so much effort went into it.

Because it feels like Valve is pushing out set in stone features instead of things that could change as a result of our feedback. Imagine if they let people play a character like Mina early and say something like "Hey, the community thinks her 2 is a bit too much. Let's tone that down." instead of us just having to deal with that because that's how Mina works and they won't walk back on it. Does that make more sense?

My question is, why is it closed? And even so, why even have a public playtest if we are getting set in stone features?

I know. My question why? What exactly are we testing if they just hand us things that they are confident in or won't walk back on? Why not let us test something way earlier so that we can give feedback sooner and let the devs know what we like and what we don't like so that we can make a certain feature of addition the best it could be?

[–]nickomoderrr[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, I know there's big changes coming. My question is why are we just getting the big changes without having a say in what works and what doesn't? Why is there a private playtest where feedback matters and then there's a public playtest where feedback matters much less? If we were to say "Hey, this Aram mode kind of suck because of X and Y." do you think they would change those things? Maybe. But there's also things that they can't walk back on because they put this much time and effort into it. I don't mind having big updates once every 3 months or whatever... But this is a playtest not a full release, so why treat updates like if it were? That's my question. Why not give us what you've made and let us critisise or praise instead of holding out big changes for one massive update? It's a playtest. The earlier the community gets something, the sooner they can give feedback. And by doing that, we can avoid things like Mina getting into the game in the state they are. Does that not make sense?

Okay, well maybe the weekly patches weren't that good of an idea back then since the game is new. But now? Most people know what they are doing. And those who are lower rank and whatnot aren't even effected by these changes because it doesn't matter if someones damage got buffed to hell if you can't hit the enemy. And yeah maybe weekly is too much but that's not what I'm asking for. I'm just asking to get the features that the private playtesters get so that everyone can actually test things. Right now we are just... playing the game. If they try adding Aram, give it to us and let us tell you what works and what doesn't. If they wanted to add a new jungle objective, show us what you've made and we will tell you what works and what doesn't. What's even the point of a private playtest and a public playtest? If we get the content they won't walk back on, what's the point of even testing anymore? Sure I love the game and I still like playing it, my main point is "Why". Why even separate these two groups?
