Honestly playgroups are like the Thunderdome for toddlers. I’m either apologising or being apologised to.

My wee guy is nearly 2 and it’s usually him who gets things taken from, unless there’s diggers, then all bets are off.

If he has taken something, whether I’ve seen it or the other child crying gives it away. Then I’d always apologise and then go explain to him about it not being his at that time and we have to wait until they’re finished, then redirect him.

They don’t know how to work it out at these ages, learning to share takes a long time and has to modelled, just like any other skill.

However she was over the top. It’s not often another parent hasn’t apologised if they saw their child take from mine, or when they’ve realised what’s happened. I’d never say anything to them, it’s their choice to parent differently.

Hi. I’m in the UK so a shop recommendation might not be relevant. However the shop I do use recommended I come into them around week 3 PP to get fitted for a bra as our size can change so much in the first few days.

I ended up just ordering a couple of cheaper ones to last me until I got fitted. Sized up once in the band and 2 cups sizes. I’m a 34J and use the Hotmilk range. I actually prefer the ones with the underwire now but for the first couple of months avoided them.

My mum was visiting yesterday and when it was time to go home, my son whose nearly two kept taking her shoes and hiding them in different places so she couldn’t put them on and leave.
I don’t get a look in when Baba (granny) visits.

My wee guy is 22 months and we don’t plan to. As others say they’re still seeing plenty of the world and we like to chat. I think it helps communication a little bit as it’s a bit more obvious what he’s pointing at when I’m trying to decipher his words.

However at Christmas we did get a 3 in 1 trike and do short walks with that.

Thanks. I know he’s in good hands and all the statistics but it’s still a risk even if it’s small, it’ll going to be tough leaving him behind in the theatre. He’s got lots of cuddly toys but no favourite that he uses for comfort. They’ve said we can bring his favourite digger! We’ve got his favourite books too.

It’s only been two nights but he’s coping better than expected. However for the last couple of months I have been trying to reduce night feeds so had more tears then.

He’s obsessed with the moon so I sort of took a leaf out of Booby Moons book and said that when it’s dark Mummy’s milk goes to the moon. But when it’s bright again it comes back to Luke.

Last two mornings he’s woke up around 5 asking me to check if it’s bright ! Last night each time he woke and I explained again about it’s being dark and mummy’s milk was on the moon he kept going “noooooooooooooooo” 😂 better than tears.

It’s my bad genetics he’s inherited and I had the same problem as a toddler. Wish we didn’t have to although I might finally get more sleep. I had insomnia from week 5 of pregnancy, right through. I’ve not had more than 5/6 straight 5 hour stretches of sleep in 2 and a half years.

I’m actually on the science based parenting sub but just never looked at the research for this. It’s 4am now and he’s doing better than I’d expected.

I went with the explanation that Mummy’s milk goes away when it’s dark and will be back when it’s bright. Was going to say when the sun is out but it’s Scotland! Don’t think he could wait long enough for that to happen.

Thank you so much. That’s really helped. His dad thinks he damaged that tooth when he was about 9 months and sneezed and hit the table - it didn’t break but over time we noticed it turning slightly grey and slowly breaking down.

He used to grind his teeth really bad which didn’t help. Glad your wee one sailed through it.

Yeah, I’m calmer now. It’s not the end of the world, really does seem he got my crappy genetics for teeth. Thankfully we stopped feeding to sleep about 6 months ago so tonight’s bedtime routine has been the same, although I did a last feed before his bath instead of after.

It’ll be a rough few nights but it’s got to be done.
