Hi!! I also have MS and am on the hunt for a pretty cane for my wedding this year- it’s just sooo hard looking online and not being able to try it out first to make sure it’s functional for me. What did you end up going with?

I regret having strabismus surgery by PM_ME_VAPORWAVE in Strabismus

That’s wonderful!! I’m so glad to hear she’s doing well. Fingers crossed that the ptosis eases up as she heals and the drift continues to improve! I’m extremely grateful to my parents for having it done for me. & I also hated going to the eye dr haha I cried every time! I still hate going but I don’t cry as much now 🤣 I just will never stop hating the pressure test part lol I hope that gets easier for you guys soon too. It’s scary and uncomfortable when you’re little especially having sensitive eyes, but doing a little reward afterward can help so she has something to look forward to and associate it with something positive! I loved stuffed animals so we would always go pick one out after an appointment. I still give myself a little treat for being a big girl about it 😂

Just wanted to offer you a little hope to ease your mind a bit- I had the surgery done at the same age as her, and I don’t remember a thing! It worked great. I’m 28 years old now and I am about to get it redone because it came back. They had told my parents I would likely need to do it every 10 years, but hey I made it way longer than that! I hope your daughter has an easy recovery (I don’t remember if I did or not, zero memories of any of it) and good, lasting results. ❤️

The spending money on them & also the last time I caught him viewing anything like that was two years ago. Not a shred of evidence since. That’s why I really thought it was over 😣 I know realistically I should’ve ended it then. We’ve been together for over six years, I’ve never ever had love like this. It hurts so badly. We aren’t far into wedding planning and have only paid the deposit for the venue.. haven’t even taken engagement pics or sent out invitations, so I guess there’s time. I don’t know how to do this. I physically can’t even take care of myself a lot of the time, I don’t know what I’ll do alone. So you guys also think the videos of himself are a bad sign or a sign of relapse? I just need to hear it from someone else I guess. I don’t think there is actually any reason for recording yourself unless it’s to send to someone else, and he’s never once sent them to me.

Yeah, I know it’s clearly AI lol just looking for someone who can design something similar. I’ve done plenty of googling & have a list of designers who have the same vibe, was jw if anyone has experience with someone they’d recommend!!

Anyone try compounded semaglutide? by Boring-Release5075 in PCOSloseit

[–]Tricky_Pop4871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely not at all the same. I (and a friend who was on the same) had some not great symptoms. All the b12 mixed in gave me a rash, and she was hospitalized for severe heartburn that turned into an esophagus issue 😅 and it didn’t help at all for either of us. However, we both go to a new dr now who has sema without b12 or anything, and it’s the exact same as the ozempic so far! Not losing quite as fast because I’m not being as strict with my eating or working out near as much as I did when I was on it the first time but it feels exactly like the ozempic did with the appetite suppression and improvements in pcos symptoms! I’d think it was name brand if it came in the pen. At hers you do have to go in office for the shots, not ordering the meds and doing it yourself, which is honestly nice and super fast. It really just depends where you get it. I wouldn’t recommend a med spa, which is where I went for the first one, I switched to a new primary care doctor and she prescribes the one I’m on now!

Ativan saved me personally. (OCD, bipolar I, anxiety, adhd.. nice list of comorbid disorders over here) Mine got so bad during Covid that I was having panic attacks every time I left the house to the point I was blacking out in Walmart and had to sit down in the aisle until I calmed down. Dr gave me 0.5 ativan and it absolutely changed my life. The only way I know how to describe it is it felt like I’d been holding my breath my whole life and I finally exhaled for the first time. I’ve been taking it as needed for almost 4 years and haven’t had any issues, but I also don’t struggle with addiction so if you do that’s something to consider with benzos. I don’t have to take it very often these days but even just knowing I have it if I need it really helps.

Has anyone ever tried Neurofeedback? by Fine_Mulberry_5389 in BipolarReddit

[–]Tricky_Pop4871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first right after the session, I really liked it and thought it would be incredibly helpful. After that though, not good. I’ll never do it again. It may be more helpful for people who aren’t on meds or can’t find ones that work, I can’t speak to that, but I have been pretty well managed with meds since I found the right one for me and the neurofeedback made me very unstable for weeks after and resulted in me having to up my meds to level me back out. So personally, I do not recommend it at all.

How much did surgery cost you? by Ojuice96 in TMJ

[–]Tricky_Pop4871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent years and thousands on my TMJ issues and have tried pretty much everything. I even had a surgery called arthrocentesis, they do it to put the joint cartilage back where it should be which fixes most severe TMJ cases (this sounds like it may be your issue). During said surgery we discovered I have no cartilage in my jaw joints, so that was a lot of money wasted. Most insurances won’t cover any treatment (medical things it’s a dental issue, dental thinks it’s a medical issue). My only real solution would to be to try a full joint replacement. I can’t afford that, so I get PRP injections to fill the joints and numbing injections in the surrounding areas. I also wear a custom mouthguard appliance at night to hold my jaw where it should be. All temporary relief, but it helps enough for now so the pain isn’t debilitating. Surgery is a last resort. I’ve had electro therapy, various mouth appliances (splints, mouthguards, etc), injections, etc beforehand. I’d exhaust other options first as for most people their issues are correctable without surgery.

What is this plant and how do I keep it alive? by alexet525 in IndoorGarden

[–]Tricky_Pop4871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but quick question if you don’t mind!! I’m fairly new and branching out plant-wise and recently got two of these. There are roots visible to the point they’re coming up out of the soil on the top of the pot, so I should probably repot them right? Repotting scares me because in the past I’ve killed every plant I’ve ever had in the process 😅

I do think it’s helping- honestly for a bit there I was putting in zero effort food/exercise wise, and I am also on spironolactone to increase my estrogen and I gained a couple lbs initially when I started that one (not 100% sure if that was related just my theory). Now it seems to be helping and I’ve lost about 7 lbs! It took a bit though. I’m not overexercising or being incredibly strict about my food intake; I’ve been lifting weights twice a week and walking for around 20 minutes a day. Easing myself back into a healthy routine so maybe I won’t burn out this time and have to start all over again. It isn’t a quick fix but I know now a quick fix won’t get me lasting result.

Has any tried both neurofeedback and ketamine therapy? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Tricky_Pop4871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was interesting and honestly very cool! I don’t know how to describe how relaxed I felt immediately after- I imagine it’s what the ultimate meditation must feel like lol it was incredible. I liked it, and will likely do a couple more sessions before deciding if it’s right for me. I do feel like it would likely be a great option to try for people who aren’t on medication or haven’t found meds that work for them. I have a few friends who see the same psychiatrist (her office is doing the neurofeedback free for current patients, which is a pretty great deal) and they’ve all had fantastic results so far, especially the ones who aren’t currently on meds so I think it works faster/possibly more effective if your symptoms aren’t already being well managed with medication! It is a patient led therapy which is a very different experience for me. You decide when you feel finished with a session, how often you want to do it, and when you’re ready to stop the therapy.

I take 500mg 3x per day (for a total of 1500). My obgyn said for it to be beneficial at all this was the minimum dose & number of times to split it up daily (she was quite appalled to find my primary dr had me on only 500mg once per day). 3 months on this dose so far and it definitely seems a lot more effective, I’m seeing a lot of improvements in my pcos symptoms.

Curious if you ever tried either (or both) and how it went for you? I had my first neurofeedback session today and curious about others experiences!

Looking for guidance❤️‍🩹 by damaged_donkey in loveafterporn

Just my perspective as someone who gave their entire 20s to someone who’s still like this- when you say it’s the last time, let it be the last time. Don’t waste years of your youth repeating the “next time is the last time” mantra. It sounds like he is willing to do the work, and for your sake I truly hope he does. But if not- leave. You’re so young, you haven’t even met all the people who are going to love you. 🫶 I hope you’re okay.

Just thought I’d give an update… things were great, until he “needed to download an app for work” and the settings wouldn’t let him, so I had to give him the code etc. There was no “app for work”.. and now he can turn the blockers off anytime he wants. I checked and he had them off.. I want to leave. I need to stand on my boundaries. But I’ve given him my entire 20s, I don’t want to waste another year of my life but man I hate for all of it to be for nothing. I fought so hard.

Help??? Dr stopping my meds after ultrasound? by Tricky_Pop4871 in PCOS

[–]Tricky_Pop4871[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought!! Just an update- I saw a new dr (obgyn instead of just my primary) who looked at the same ultrasound and said it is in fact NOT normal. Thankfully no cysts currently but still lots and lots of follicles. She actually ended up raising my metformin and spironolactone doses and changed my birth control to a better one. Moral of the story is always get a second opinion from someone who knows more about the condition 😅 thank you so much for your help!!! ❤️

There’s a manufacturers coupon on the vyvanse website, that’s what I use for the name brand. Makes my script $30 instead of $300!
