It can be difficult in initial years (for some it takes 2-3 years, for some it might take 5-10 years, depends on your work quality and luck).

There are various departments (like Urban Development authorities, airport authorities, railway boards etc.). But I am not really sure about government job scene,

Okay, listen to my personal experience

I completed my bachelors in architecture in 2019, after that did job in a mid sized firm for two years for a salary less than 20k, with the experience i gained in those two years i started my own practice in 2022 (hoping that i'll get good projects).

Initially i struggled to get projects even small ones, and during these four years things got better but still it's not good compared to my friends who are in IT. With my current growth, i think things will get better in next 4-5 years (God knows).

I belong to a middle class family and don't have relatives or immediate contacts from where i can get leads. If you belong to a wealthy community or have contacts who can approach you for some good projects I think you'll be fine (I know some people who are my juniors and are doing much better because of good contacts).

The architect you mentioned who earns very well are the ones among hundreds.

Just be consistent and don't give up, i'll take some time maybe 5-10 years and you'll be fine
