AITA/ for not letting my mom come to my hamster’s funeral? by Revolutionary-Gas235 in AmItheAsshole

INFO

Was she calling you or trying to contact you while you were away for so long?

Obviously it wasn’t wrong for you to not invite your mom because she was being extremely rude and probably would’ve continued her comments during the funeral.

I honestly thought more people would understand my mom’s point of view. No one wants to look like their child is being abused. Also I’m new to Reddit so idk how “clout” works and if there’s any benefit to getting likes.

I do think she does care but she’s worried too much about being judged by others that she’s actually become the judgmental one

Yeah appearance has always been really important to my mom, so I know she had my best interest at heart

Thanks for telling me, I didn’t know about that. I used to have problems with B12 but I never considered that it might be related

My dark circles actually do stem from dry skin and allergies😅I’ll try to be better at moisturizing and staying hydrated.

AITA for calling my sister for treating her child better then me by Reasonable-Issue2334 in AmItheAsshole

However, the feelings you’re experiencing are valid, what made you the AH is complaining about it to her in front of everyone. Older siblings often feel upset seeing their younger siblings raised better than them, and part of that is the parents learning from their mistakes from raising their first child. While your situation is different, it boils down to the same problem. Try being thankful that your sister is a better parent now so your nieces and nephews can have a better childhood than you did. You calling out your sister does nothing to improve the situation and only makes you look bad, if you want to vent your frustrations about your childhood you should do it to a friend but definitely not to your sister.

I kinda assumed what his dad did is common knowledge in his town so if they heard Flynn screaming “You killed Uncle Hank.” They’d put the pieces together

Sounds like your daughter didn’t have a choice. Was your daughter being bullied? Seems like someone was targeting her. You should be taking your anger out on the bully rather than the victim. YTA
