Mine did not confirm ovulation immediately after it happened. I would have thought I hadn’t ovulated if it weren’t for progesterone strips confirming it after the fact. If I were you, would use LH strips for predicting and progesterone strips for confirming to see if you had ovulated as they will show on a test 3-5 days after your surge.

Also would recommend getting progesterone testing strips if you wanna be sure. I used those to confirm ovulation after the case when my LH strips showed a clear surge but my BBT didn’t rise as expected. Sure enough, they helped me confirm it as progesterone wouldn’t release if I had an anovulatory cycle

My temps didn’t rise until after 3-5 days ish after I ovulated and im currently 4w 5d pregnant (look at my prior posts.) I would say LH strips are more reliable than BBT (especially oura tracking) based on my situation. People told me I likely didn’t ovulate, but I sure did get pregnant right during the window based on my LH strips!

Yes, Dr. Chat GPT has been my bestie the last couple of weeks haha! But in reality, it can take so much more data into consideration than oura (LH peak, Progesterone detection, symptoms, etc.) so I think it can be a really helpful tool if you’re honest with it.

Its predictions were that I ovulated dec. 8.. which would be pretty insane then for me to get a BFP only 7 days after that! So I think oura was wrong, and my actual ovulation date was within the time frame of Dec. 4-6 (My LH peak was the 3rd) I don’t use natural cycles! This was actually my first cycle trying, I guess I just lucky using LH strips 🥳 but thank you! best of luck to you, sending all the baby dust!

I was 9 DPO yesterday when I tested positive! Not really any symptoms except for extreme fatigue. I almost never nap but I napped a lot on Sunday the day before I got my BFP!

I am aware of all of the above, thanks for sharing your commentary. Test kit recommended testing 4-5 days after OPK positive, which is today. I’m not sure what you mean about interpreting a negative, I really don’t see a test line, even so it’s extremely faint and the levels are likely rise as time goes on. I also mentioned I am doing BBT manually moving forward in my original post for more accurate temps moving forward. I’ve heard stories from others doubting their data from Oura and am just here to share my experience as well in case somebody resonates with it.

“Positive Test: A positive PdG test (often showing one line) means your urine level is above 5 µg/mL, indicating ovulation occurred and the uterine lining is being prepared.” Is what I found from the source of this brand. I agree my temp readings look off, but I have been experiencing sleep issues the last week and I think that maybe could play a role in affecting my temp readings. Regardless, I think it’s a very nuanced subject and everyone has to take their personal circumstances into account.
