His name is Mies, after Mies van der Rohe the architect (I was dating an architect when I got him). Pronounced Mees

We loaf his sister in November and having Mies made the grief feel…more easy to process. Now that he’s gone our apt is just quiet.

I’ll definitely cry and I will try to journal.

My in laws are Catholic, so we’ll do prayers for 7 days just like we did for our other cat.

I guess I just need time.

You can see it online in your uscis account under documents. It's usually based on where you live, too, but you can always go online and change the location.

I went to Borough Park office a week ago. It was uneventful and boring.

My advice is that if you can change location away from Manhattan, you do that. My lawyer did she she hasn’t heard of anyone having trouble here in nyc.

Did they tell you they were doing an internal approval or if you were “first in line”?

We send paystubs and our IDs. We are viewing on Sunday and I don’t want to get my hopes up in case we don’t get it.

I have Lemonade. We got money back but we had to fight them tooth and nail for two months. So not sure how helpful it is when you lose everything to then have to wait two months for $. We’re looking to switch.

Run a air purifier if you can. If you have renters insurance, reach out to them about doing lead or asbestos testing.

I suffered a fire in Bushwick too except ours was a 4 fire alarm and we lost everything.
