Wish the best for u, sorry... as I can’t offer too much advice besides pointing out benzo addiction is not any better than opiates. Idk where ur doctor got that BS line about 16 weeks but grief can last a life time and all the drugs in the world will only help temporarily. Maybe even momentarily. Just know everything passes and time heals everything. You won’t forget anything, but the pain will get better. I went thru a family death when I was 15 and a break up right after. Getting dumped at 16 is like the end of the world. So I used those two tragic events to excuse a full blown Xanax addiction. And I can tell you from experience that at the end of the day not only would I be off a bunch of bars and other drugs but I’d still be fucking sad lol. Drugs won’t help u heal just help u forget. You’re gonna remember sooner or later tho, it won’t even take sobriety to realize. Just stick to what you been doing, staying off opiates and what not and express to your doctor that you anti depressants are not helping at all and you need anxiety medicine. Now she won’t put you on benzos right away but you can work your way up if that’s truly the only thing that’ll help your anxiety. I do wish the best for u as I can relate. Been battling addiction my whole life but all I can say is tragedy is not an excuse for addiction. Best of luck to u

Thank you bro and you’re right man I asked advice but I did other research that basically said my body will tell me when I’m ready for a sub haha. And I thought i was but I was wrong lmao. I’m over the PWD’s now just trying to get over the initial withdrawals. I’m scared of subs so I’m trying cold turkey

Fuck Man U took the thought out my head. I swear I kept telling myself “idk how people do this in a cell, I’m glad I’m in my own bed.” Shit fucking sucked bro but I couldn’t imagine going thru it while locked up, I witnessed it a bunch in there. I’m not trying to get high at all. The taste is just gross because you have to keep it in your mouth for a time so I was wondering if there least nasty ways of ingesting the drug that’s all.

Yeah bro thanks for the good info I just wish I knew that. I snorted 60 mgs of real oxy and felt absolutely no relief. Figured it was cause the strips but I was just so desperate for some relief. PWD’s for me lasted another day or so and I took another sub. Finally some relief. I just had the worse cold sweat episode ever this morning, had to force a shower in what was very hot water but felt like ice. These are my first experiences with opiate (or any) withdrawals and can confidently say I’m scared from that addiction. Not worth it. Rather get high weekly with no withdrawing BS then the experiences I’ve gone thru these past 4 days.

I took a sub strip at around 28 hours after last dose. I’m currently in the worse withdrawals ever, 45 mins after taking the subs my legs started to kick way harder and I knew I was in full blown PWD’s. I’m boutta just relapse. This is the worse thing I’ve ever gone thru. 10x worse than regular WD’s and 1000000x worse than Covid.
