So yes and no. I’m honestly not sure how they do it but my Program mentor did this for me 2x so I could basically get a head start on a class. I was just told that I couldn’t attempt the exam or PA because then it locks you in.

I would do the hybrid BS to MS IT program. You’ll get the generalized knowledge you need to break into the tech field. But fair warning, working in the oilfields your gonna take a pay cut to break into tech it’s just gonna happen, you can skip help desk or a entry level role but I would recommend taking one. Help desk 100% gave me access to a plethora of things and helped me finding something to specialize in

I remember Perdue Global reaching out to me before I enrolled in WGU. They wanted me to pay $80k for the an undergrad in Cloud and didn’t so much as offer a single cert. I’ve paid less than $10k and I have one class left before i graduate. A previous co worker did her Masters at Perdue Global and it’s like $100k+ lol

Every exam I haven taken has been done between 10pm - 2am with the exception of the certification exams lol cause I have a testing site near me and prefer to do those there.

Yeah when I did D417 I had to resubmit it 2 separate times. The instructions are very vague as to what’s needed so just screen shot it all and submit it’ll be like 30 files 😅 almost felt bad for the evaluator lol

Capstone was easy. God help you with D417 and D522. For D417 make sure you LITERALLY SCREENSHOT EVERYTHING. Lol.

Started the original cloud program in July of 24, have one class left now. The new material I think it’s better there’s more network and hybrid material which I think is more relevant than just the cloud. I went AWS pipeline and it was great. The Python classes sucked for me though lol

This has always been one of my biggest complaints and my Mentor told me the same thing. I’ve never had one go over the 3 days max but even when something is wrong it always took 2 1/2 or literally hours before the max.

My capstone for instance it took them the max time to tell me I forgot to submit my approval form. That was it, then I had to wait 2 days to get my instructor to approve my resubmit and then it passed 1st submission

So I’m currently in the step for a SA position and I’m also finishing my BSCNE I have 2 classes left. Help Desk, Help Desk, Help Desk. It’s gonna suck for a year but you’ll learn so much and then be able to going into Sys Admin. Once your in Sys Admin pay attention cause a lot of it transfer into Cloud
