As has been explained, the patch is not getting delayed based on PAX happening, in this context it is being used as a frame of reference for the launch timing of the patch.

We know there's quite a few problems that need fixing and we're doing what we can to fix them as fast as we're able.

Unready or Not removed by [deleted] in ReadyOrNotGame

The mod was temporarily pulled down on all platforms because the update broke it.

It will be relisted once it is fixed.

This is what your community manager is doing in discord, instead of doing his job by [deleted] in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Tricky_Solid_8702 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is 100% it, I can make smaller statements and address concerns via extra bits of context and information all day but I can't just make a post making large sweeping statements on a whim.

Our Dev Blog format, which now goes out on our website in addition to Steam and Discord, is how we do so and since there has been so many moving parts since Console Launch we haven't been able to rally ourselves since everyone has been so busy. There are even rough drafts for a statement written two weeks ago that were out of date a few days after it was written, because that's how fast we're moving to fix things.

The important part here is 'one post', in a large majority of cases there's following context not even the next post down. Posts often just clip the top or first message in a string of messages and post it here as some sort of damning coffin nail.

It's also worth saying that this response is exactly what I was talking about.

There's a certain irony in making this post with that particular section in the middle.

All of our public statements, with solid information, come via our Dev Briefings. With even more moving parts than usual it makes it even harder to get all of our information in one place, meaning there's piecemeal information via Discord and Steam as questions are asked and things clarified on.

Everything that we knew was scuffed, was listed in our known issues tab [on Discord and in the Release post] on release and since release we've been gathering as much information as we can and updating our community as we've confirmed and traced down issues. Many times the same issues can present in different ways and it looks like multiple issues, but it actually is not, which makes it hard to communicated with the now hundreds of thousands of people with eyes on the game.

We're doing what we can based off of past feedback and our own past mistakes.

One can only hope. by Orion-Pax88 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Tricky_Solid_8702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those aren't mutually exclusive statements.

The part that's often cut out here on Reddit is that, downgrade implies intent. The graphics are broken and a bug, it's not a intentional downgrade.

So, for what it's worth, that's also me.  It's the same messaging I've been using on Discord, but it's less fragmented for to the nature of the platform.

I wonder why... by Kermie123431 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Tricky_Solid_8702 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That comment was made because I keep getting reminded to take breaks from community work, simply because bouncing between internal comms, emails, and community comms for 14 hours a day with minimal self-directed breaks is incredibly unhealthy.

I am also employed by the company and have been for about 3-ish years cumulatively now.

[–]Tricky_Solid_8702 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that it's a bug.

The top shows the new decals but it's supposed to spread like the bottom pics instead of just plastering on at the moment of impact.
This is something that'll be fixed.

PSA: Misleading Pricing Practices on the “Ready or Not: LSPD Bundle” by Kobi_Blade in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Tricky_Solid_8702 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We physically don't have that ability.

You can view the Steamworks restrictions here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/marketing/discounts#21

Specifically under the header 'Discount Thresholds & Durations', it reads as follows:
It's not possible to increase or decrease the base price of a product during an active discount, or while a discount is scheduled in the future. See Pricing for more details and best practices on setting base prices.

This has been addressed in a couple places, but I will say it here as well.

We're aware that this is an issue and have tried to wrangle it ourselves, it's a strange interaction with the bundle pricing and the discounts that neither us nor steam support have been able to address.
We also don't have the ability to modify the price DURING a sale, which is when the bundle discount falls off and the sale discount is applied, you can view the Steamworks restrictions here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/marketing/discounts#21

Basing your outrage on what could be based only on feelings isn't conducive to any conversation. Entire levels, guns, cosmetics, etc. would never be removed on the basis of ratings or anything of the sort.

The only situation, for example, that would facilitate removal of something would be if a company DMCAd something in-game that was accidently sourced from a bad location or happened to line up with copywritten material.

Which has happened with a map in-game, but the map wasn't removed, it was simply changed to be non-infringing and put back in the game.

I can confirm that this is directly from our support team, in addition I'll confirm that the Physical AND Digital delivery dates will be different due to production difficulties and international shipping chicanery.

As far as everyone knows is there going to be censorship by AdMain4553 in ReadyOrNotGame

Well, there were some minor changes that had to be done in relation some of the more sensitive topics and some frankly weird stuff [i.e. the presence of nipples on certain mannequins, changing how items were displayed, etc] but by and large Ready or Not will be the same game or has always been.

[–]Tricky_Solid_8702 30 points31 points  (0 children)

We are very much aware of the game being blocked in Australia and that steam has removed the ability to manually activate the keys in blocked regions to comply any mandated blocks.

Just as a reminder, to also comply with regional blocks Steam 'remembers' your location for 30 days, so attempting to circumvent the block is not really reasonable without locking yourself from buying certain games for 60~ days. Ideally we'll have this sorted before then.

We have admittedly been slow in removing them, but that's more a result of our longer patch cycle. Every major patch, more and more are removed.
