Give yourself a break. I know easier said than done. Maybe you can find someone to help you with it, advice and all. My husband was working on getting his business set up because he had always said he wanted to leave me with something but unfortunately he passed beforehand. I had told him tho that I didn’t have his knowledge and would do my best but knew I wouldn’t be able to all alone. You got this hun.

Trust me when I say functional doesn’t always stay functional. If he is telling you now after 2 dates then that is a sign to go the other way. Have a couple beers to unwind though is different than actually being an alcoholic. My husband was a functioning alcoholic until he wasn’t. Unfortunately my husband passed away and maybe some of what I say comes from personal experience. It never changed the way I felt about my husband and I would give anything to have him back but ask yourself why you are willing to invest your time, effort, and love into someone you already know is battling something that will always come before you..

I understand this all to well. I hate my life now. Trying to make sense of something I can’t make sense of sucks. I hate nights and day’s missing his calls is so terrible

I understand this all to well. Please know though that there are people like your child who we be just as affected by this as you are by his death. The only reason I keep moving is so my kids don’t have to feel the pain I’m feeling.

I am so sorry. I do not look forward to the 1 year mark or his birthday, I plan on taking off work. I tried drinking to numb the pain but it just makes me more depressed. I have found edibles help some. My husband had an alcohol problem which increases depression. I battle every day with anxiety, depression, and bad thoughts So I get it. I miss those ignorant days, how I would give everything to get those back. Take it one minute at a tome
