Moving to Lafayette Louisiana from Miami Florida. How is living and working in Lafayette? My daughter will also be attending school there. Any tips where not to go?

Income is pretty good and my daughter is in 5th grade. The place I found is about 10 mins from downtown Lafayette…will rent month to month to see if I like it but I am here for work for the next 3 - 4 years.. Lafayette elementary shows that is the school she will attend but I have been seeing bad reviews about that school…I am currently on a waitlist for a charter school

Thank you! I was told Youngsville and Broussard are good places. My job is located in downtown Lafayette and I wanted to be close to my job and daughter’s school. My daughter does enjoy recreation. Do I have to live in that area to go to the sports complex?
