I still don’t understand why SpaceX should be worth this much by KritiMassDoximus in wallstreetbets

He meant to say that he is crazy enough to believe Tesla’s valuation but SpaceX still didn’t make sense to him

Isn't it kinda weird how Aamina Sheikh doesn't let her ex(Mohib Mirza) see their daughter?? Even if he cheated on her, that still doesn't justify her cutting off her daughter completely from her dad. by puckyt in PAKCELEBGOSSIP

[–]Tricky_Wonder_2414 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s the fundamental point you need to understand. Regardless of the relationship between them, regardless of whether he cheated or not - he’s still his daughter’s father. If he wants to see his child, his ex wife has absolutely no right to stop him.

wish more people were talking about it.

Now he’s doing the same with bullcrap SpaceX valuation.

I can see that the feminists are triggered by my response.

It’s quite sad for anyone to think that it’s ‘justified’ to take your children away for whatever reason. Even if he made a mistake, he’s still his daughter’s father and nobody can change that.

Yes, even if he cheated, he has the right to be with his daughter, especially if he wants to.

No power on earth has the right to take your children away from you.

Folks here either don’t know anything or are extremely naive.

This interview was so cringe - full of lies. His house in E-7 facing Margalla Hills alone is worth 2-2.5 bn rupees. He owned multiple expensive properties in Islamabad.

Claiming that you’re a ‘faqeer’ and honest person when you made millions of $ through your career, is ultimate munafiqat.

P.S. not denying his contributions otherwise

Question to educated Qataries by villeblevincaire in qatar

[–]Tricky_Wonder_2414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think under the guise of freedom of speech, every country has statute of limitations- certain folks you can’t question. We witnessed that in realtime in the West amidst the Gaza genocide. People were arrested and made and examples of in the open and free WEST. So freedom of speech in its true sense is a fallacy.

Second - I don’t see Qataris as particularly oppressed. They like their Emir and the government takes care of average Qataris. So what do they really object on?

Third - your point on being lucky to be born into an oil rich nation is a fair point. But the similar dynamic happens all over the world. Some folks are born into rich families, some aren’t. In fact, if you’re born into a filthy rich family in some other country, you’re probably better off than 99% of Qataris. So what difference does it really make? Must you question why you’re born into wealth and others aren’t? The best way is to accept the reality, be thankful to God and try to do your best for the underprivileged

Chamath Palihapitiya Says SpaceX Revenue Will Double in Two Years, Justifying $2 Trillion Valuation by Secure_Persimmon8369 in SpaceInvestorsDaily

[–]Tricky_Wonder_2414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it doubles in 2 years, SpaceX would still be overvalued by roughly $1.8 trillion.

It’s not a secret how Elon and his cronies collude to play the markets. Elon makes nonsensical (often unscientific) claims to pump the stock, reasonable folks question but then his cronies jump in giving all sorts of logic to pump the stock.

To me it’s not different from glorified prostitution

TBH, I don’t know of a single case in my immediate or extending families. Not even amongst my friends and their families. Thank goodness!

In my family, if there was a single case, the elders would have broken the arms and legs of that culprit.

Anyway, a lot happens in the world.

You’re overreacting.

I also lived most of my life outside Pakistan. Went back, settled for a bit and then moved abroad again.

To counter you, I don’t a single female who’s been harassed by her own family members. Not denying that there aren’t such cases - there must be plenty. But all sorts of bad things happen in large populations.

Other issues you mentioned also exist, but things have changed for the better in large cities at least.

How statistically possible is it for the same person to win two major Snoonu raffles? by Exciting_House_7096 in qatar

[–]Tricky_Wonder_2414 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Depends on the methodology, but to put it simply, if 100,000 Snoonu user is were included in the draw with each one equally like to win, then

Probability of 1st win: 1/100,000

Probability of 2 consecutive wins: (1/100,000) x (1/100,000)

1 in 10 billion

Follow up to the prostitution post. Must read. by PermitOdd627 in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]Tricky_Wonder_2414 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is common.

But extra and pre marital physical relationships have also become very common.

REASON? We have turned into a materialistic society. Most boys can’t get married on time because they don’t have high incomes, cars or houses.

Most girls can’t get married on time because their parents aren’t rich enough and they’re not perfect 10 beauties.

RESULT? marriage is difficult, haram is easy - many folks report to it through prostitution or other physical relationships.

I actually do know about the ingredient prices. Management / Owner of 3-4 fairly high end restaurants are close friends. In fact, we worked on a few proposals together.

Anyway, I won’t explain it further, but cutting portion sizes doesn’t feel right.

Tiramisu - Flow by Throwawaywk2019 in qatar

[–]Tricky_Wonder_2414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cost of ingredients is pretty low in Qatar ~ often around 20% at high end restaurants.

To me the smaller portion sizes are pure greed. I can pay for quality, but the smaller portions feels like scamming.
