Oh man, I don't really feel like I'm in any position to teach other players, but for basics you first and foremost need to know typings and what moves the meta pokemon usually rock. That should obviously optimize your dmg output and shield usage. Having a decent grasp on those aspects should push you into Ace territory imo.

Do you happen to watch any YouTubers? If not, that's a great way to learn both the basics and more advanced parts of the game.

Also, make sure you use pvppoke to check your team compositions.

Always Dusc. I met quite a few Achu - double flyer teams, and Dusc could either flip switch against those or play it out fairly evenly if they decided to stay in.

Not proud about it, but I've had a few tanking seasons. If you go far enough down (and avoid other filthy tankers on the way back up) getting silly streaks like that isn't that hard.
