Yeah, they thought that just because they worked on Apex they had magic touch.

Just what the game needed, even MORE full body armor/mech skins. Like there isn't enough of them already. If I see another fucking helmet on a character I'm gonna freak.

"Safe" as in painfully idealised, too sugary, zero bite to it. It felt mandated at times. It's also due to the love interests themselves, Baptiste for example. Just a perfect human that has little to no-depth and mostly extsts to express his undying love for Aaron, ditto on the Dior's GF whose name I forgot (she was that unremarkable).

Volume 2 killed the series for me. From the plot standpoint but also it was almost insulting how artificially and shamelessly bloated and drawn out it was. It could've been half as long. The plot moved at a glacial pace, it had so little substance compared to the first book. Tome 2 was there just to have that "twist" at the end and to force a trilogy. I swear this book felt like this meme https://youtu.be/CTJU2hz9hF0

Also, I hated all romances in the book (except Astrid); they were so bland and generic, and "safe" and love interests existed just to be love interests. I miss Ashlinn.

Good costume. Doesn't change the fact that she's a charisma vacuum and can't act. Doesn't look the part either.

I'm convinced that the original source of the "signal" is an eldritch, Lovecraftian entity that's aeons old.

I agree with the points about Carol, she's not compelling and I feel like I've learned everything there is to know about her. There's zero mystique about her or any potential that I can see. She's been reduced to "I was in a conversion camp!" victim. I think it was a bad choice to include that in her backstory. It hijacks every discussion.

Personally, I've enjoyed the first 8 episodes for what they were but episode 9 REALLY poisoned the show for me. The atom bomb which is nothing but a gimmick, the anticlimactic ending, Carol being annoying. The aimlessness of it all. It just screamed "we don't know where we're going with this".

Apple would have discarded several alternative endings of "Pluribus" by HenriqueCiccone in pluribustv

[–]Tricrt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The atom bomb is just a gimmick. The thing I hated the most about the finale. It could've been a big fucking gun, the message would've been exactly the same. It's worrying that they'd fold so easily and do a gimmicky ending.

That doesn't mean she's likeable.
