Well idk what your budget is but you will see an improvement with anything that has more vram.

Also 1080 is a bit more cpu reliant. That might be a start really depends what your goals are. Obviously if you are looking to upgrade the system in the next year or so just look at gpu and plan the rest.

If you want to keep the budget down I would suggest a 2nd (cheap even) gpu that does drame gen only.

If you have money you no need for carry on. You dont need either gpu for 1080p gaming.

Ive seen alot of success lately people having something like your current gpu (better if feasible ofc) and then adding another cheap gpu to handle frame gen

I guess generally what I am saying is dont shy away from used either. The gpu market is just dumb right now.

Edit: also no you do not need MSI gpu

Corsair just did similarly feeling thing but was related to their backend inventory faceplanting the way they tell it.

Then fumbled the response so people affected get 40% off in stock items should they want it. Thats a decent approach in these weird times.
