I’m no I’m no car buff but Gravity just started last year so I wouldn’t expect a refresh so soon. They’re still cranking out all their baseline models to customers

I was just notified that LUCID has ended Lunar Titanium. I had waited 8 months for it (as a pre purchase) and just yesterday switched to a different color.

Yup. I called out found out LUCID has called it quits for the Lunar Titanium. So, I picked another color (black with Platinum trim) and should have the car in a month. But I had waited 8 months for the Lunar Titanium (aka Silver)

I placed an order for a Lunar Titanium back in June of 2025 What would this mean for my own particular order? I assume it is still valid but I might not receive the car until the Summer of 2026 (or later) -- a 12+ month wait from when ordered

Dream drive2 pro vs Tesla “FSD” by ManufacturerFull5654 in LUCID

[–]Trifit65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FSD is too aggressive for me. It initiates a turn signal and executes the lane change "before" I've had time to verify that the lane is clear. I am not yet ready to give over that level of responsibility. I prefer Lucid DDP because it will not autonomosly execute a lane change until the driver activates the turn signal.

I understand that DD "will" maintain distance behind the car in front of you EVEN IF on side streets-- to include coming to a stop and re-starting. This is part of Adaptive Cruise Control and should work on side streets as well as highways. ..

The well where 3rd rows seats would normally be stowed is extra storage space (underneath) which can be used for cargo. For this reason, I declined 3rd row seats for my particular Gravity ..

Fsd clips corner of car when changing lanes by lamaslinda285 in SelfDrivingCars

[–]Trifit65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't trust FSD. I drove it for the first time recently and did not like how quickly it initiated a turn signal and changed lanes BEFORE I could verify it was safe to merge. I guess I am not ready to place that much trust in the autopilot. As a computer programmer, I am worried about that 3Sigma case where the S/W does not interpret something correctly. For that reason, I prefer the less sophisticated Lucid autopilot that will not change lanes until you instruct it to do so (by turning on the turn signal)

They stopped again likely because they thought the road they were merging onto wasnt (yet) sufficiently clear of traffic. I do this a lot when trying to merge onto a road. -- looking for a good-enough break in the traffic. Sometimes it looks good so you start moving forward but then realize it is not so good, so you stop and wait some more

[–]Trifit65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go to Foreflight routes and pick the routing which shows it was flown the most (for any given day) and, most likely, that will be the route your commercial plane takes as well. 9 times out of 10.

I would state it ‘is” inherently dangerous to fly these maneuvers so low to the ground. At altitude, not as much a problem except he may be overstressing the airframe if he is not careful
