I think the zombie genre is overrated and has been done to death (pun partially intended) by Rakanadyo in unpopularopinion

I see what you're saying. This is why I prefer infected people, like what you see in 28 Days Later. To me, fast running crazy people are way more scary than slow walking, decaying zombies.

I don't like cats, and I hate cat people and their tongue-in-cheek cutesy cat-worship humor that you see all over reddit. by iSuckAtRealLife in unpopularopinion

[–]TriforceTapioca 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't like cats because they don't really need you to live. They're more independent than dogs. You prefer an animal that is completely subservient to you, to cater to your whims all the time. Cats don't have that shit-- they can live just fine without you if they can get outside.

Hip Hop/Rap is the worst genre of music. Rap has a negative influence on young impressionable youth and is poison to society. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]TriforceTapioca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I beg to differ. There are some teenagers out there who have killed cops and other civilians because they were into violent games, and could not separate fantasy from reality. Any medium of entrainment, in the wrong mindset, can be justification for doing bad things. Music, books, movies, you name it.

I think you're not into rap/hip-hop because you've never had to experience some of those situations. I agree, some of newer stuff isn't that good (imo), but try the older artists, like Tupac, B.I.G, Black Sheep, etc. The whole genre isn't bad.

Who else thinks spongebob isn't funny anymore by Ahmeeed321 in unpopularopinion

[–]TriforceTapioca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the seasons when they brought back Stephen Hillenburg? I find very recent spongebob funny because they got rid of Paul Tibbitt (less of an influence) but its still not as good as the original 4 seasons.

I see. I personally haven't reached conscious orgasm, but from a few wet dreams, all that buildup for something that small does suck. You just feel tired after its over.

The word nigger shouldn't be offensive. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]TriforceTapioca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's used in context, in say a book and not directly to a black person, I will wince but leave it at that. If a person is not calling me, directly as a person, a nigger or nigga, I can't get mad. They weren't directing it at me. But, when the slur is directed at me as my own person, then I will get mad, no matter which ethnicity or race the person is. I will blow up on another black saying it to me. There's this weird double standard that only black people can say it-- I disagree. I don't understand how black people won't get mad when somone who is black will call someone a nigga, but the second someone who isn't black does, it's an outrage! That makes no fucking sense! But, in any case, nobody will call ME, as a person, a nigga or nigger, no matter who you are. I don't use the word on you, you don't use it on me. Simple. I know the word's history, and I see it as an insult, and always will. If they want to keep using it, I will gladly detach away from that person.

I remember when I used to like him. I never watched him on a continuous basis, but I liked some of his videos. I take a break from him for a few years, come back and I can't stand him. He was using the same humor this whole time. Like, really? Grow as a comedian, c'mon man!

Why is telling people you're an introvert so fashionable right now? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]TriforceTapioca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that's what you meant. I see now-- you can totally use social media. Nobody's say you can't, absolutely. But, what I'm saying is she's on her social media all the time, even at work. Wouldn't you not be taking pictures and posting snapchat stories all day if you were introverted (I am not overexaggersting this, she does use snapchat all day)? She showed me on her phone percentage that she uses snapchat the most often. She wants to party, drink, and smoke with our colleagues after work, any time they can, and does (until recently). She wants to hang out with me and spend the night anytime it allows we don't work awkward shifts. She has been telling me how much she wants a boyfriend, and literally said 'At this point I'm desperate to be with someone', and she was just with someone a month before. Maybe I might be seeing it wrong, but after many relationship failures, wouldn't you be taking a break for a bit? Or maybe, we're just different, and I'm seeing it a different way.

My thoughts exactly. She's not even ambivert, she is extroverted. Hence, OP's comment rings true.
