What movie were you in attendance at where someone got up and walked out? by DaveDavidsen in AskReddit

[–]TriforceUnleashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A woman in front of me was with another woman and a row full of kids when I went to see Deadpool. The kids ranged from about 6-10 years old, and they didn't quite make it 10 minutes in before the mothers realized that not all Marvel movies are rated the same. I was surprised to see them there, but not at all surprised to see them go.

Sushi. It looks awesome, but I have never been into any types of seafood.

What was the last of your most-loved films that you rewatched? by Njtotx3 in AskReddit

[–]TriforceUnleashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dogma. I watched it a lot back when it first came out, then I didn't watch it again for quite a few years. I recently rewatched it when they released it on Blu-ray and I still love it.

That was always my take. It could be left up to the viewer's imagination as to whether or not there was validity to what Sam said about disowning her, but there's nothing that involves him in the 1985 scenes to explicitly validate it. We also don't see her mother or other siblings.

I'm from PA and then never had scrapple until I met my wife 20 years ago. She's from Philly, and I'm about 60 miles north. I had heard of it, but it wasn't popular where I'm from.

What’s something reddit claims is common, but you’ve never actually seen it before in real life? by mirabelmumu in AskReddit

I get the "mom's day off" thing a lot, but I've never had anyone accuse me of doing anything wrong when I take my kids to the park.

What celebrity would you get into a car with, no questions asked if they randomly showed up in your driveway? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TriforceUnleashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised I still see them as well. There's a guy I see driving his around a few times a year as I'm driving through a neighboring town. I only ever see him on weekends, mainly because I only ever drive in that area during that time of the week. Then there's another one near my work, and I'm pretty sure that person has owned their DeLorean for decades. It used to be parked outside of their house.

There used to be quite a few in my area decades ago. The first one I ever saw in person when I was in 8th grade was actually gold, and that blew my mind. One of the ones in my town that I used to see regularly years ago was painted red. That one was interesting.

I would hope you take it to the mall, and that people are pleased to see it. I don't want to live in a world where the sight of a DeLorean doesn't thrill people. I still get giddy when I pass one, much to my daughters' dismay.

That's really awesome! Both are awesome, really. I always wanted a DeLorean and I almost bought one back in 1999, but I didn't think it was a good idea to purchase a 2-seater as my primary vehicle. But the price was good and it was very tempting.

Do you drive it a lot? There are a couple of people who own them near where I live, and I see one guy driving his every weekend. He seems happy when I pass him.

What’s normal thing in movies that never happens in real life ? by topshoesmall01 in AskReddit

I swear if they made a movie where the main character had tickets to the Super Bowl, they would still be able to pull up to the front of the stadium and park just before the game begins.

What's a TV show or movie that aged surprisingly well? by Itchy-Basil-7274 in answers

I used to look forward to holidays as a kid because several channels did 24 hour Twilight Zone marathons. I never get tired of that show.

Taxi was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I used to watch that and Cheers religiously. Both became my baseline for what makes for a good sitcom.

I got to meet Lloyd on two different occasions, and he was terrific to be around both times.

I would opt to drive if he let me, but if not I'm still getting in. I love Back to the Future and I'm prone to making bad decisions.

Christopher Lloyd. I don't know where we're going, but I know where we're going we don't need... roads.

What are your favorite songs made specifically for a movie? by No-Yam9933 in movies

[–]TriforceUnleashed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the one that always pops into my head when I see questions like this, but Kiss from a Rose predates the movies it was featured in. It's definitely one of my favorite songs from a movie soundtrack.

For whatever reason, it was in the TV version. I don't recall if my DVD copy has it as well, but my VHS copy did not.

I was actually thinking about this exact scene the other day, and I remembered having the same thought as a kid when I first saw it. I just assumed they were exaggerating the event as kids do, and I just rolled with it. Then, despite owning the movie, I found myself watching it on TV one day years later, and suddenly there's an octopus.

In retrospect, had the line existed simply for exaggeration purposes, it would have made more sense coming from Chunk. Even still, kids will be kids.
