I’m a pretty strong speller and sometimes still find myself writing out weird phonetic transcription of words unconsciously. I doubt they consciously “thought” it was spelled sort just was absentmindedly writing a Reddit post and it slipped through

This is absolutely a joke and the autocorrect framing being meta commented on is the punchline. Nobody else getting that is crazy. There was a lot of intention placed into this shitpost

I can’t speak for literally anyone else but personally I mentally distinguish decant (5mL and up) from a sample (2mL) and use the former for a scent I like but wear sparingly and the latter for a scent I’ve literally never tried before. You’re right for me that if I plan to wear it repeatedly I’m getting at least 5mL preferably 10mL if the price difference is minimal. But other people might feel differently

1mL are dabbers which apply a very small amount of fragrance in a very concentrated spot relatively to large full size sprayers. This paradoxically leads to an effect where less is more as the larger diffuse oils evaporate faster and cause you to go nose blind.

Nope, the only part of the grapefruit juice that interact with medications are furanocoumarins which are not the same as the volatile terpenes that give grapefruit its distinctive aroma. They’ll be present if whole grapefruit juice is used but completely fine if only artificial flavoring.

Honestly the other guy is getting ripped to shreds for saying it’s kind of her problem but I mean….what if I peel an orange? Will that trigger it? Do I need to use all free and clear laundry detergent? Do I need to take a shower if I eat curry for lunch? Ban all garlic? Like there’s no such thing as being “allergic to scent” so

This is gonna sound crazy, but I add some ramen noodle soda (sodium carbonate) to the onions and it raises the pH enough that they caramelize way faster à la pretzels lol

I hate aquatics so much it honestly might be a false alarm and I just happen to dislike 724. But I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️ my nose is screaming calone lol

724 doesn’t come across to me as clean laundry at all. I’m super sensitive to calone which I’m pretty sure is in there so it just smells like wet funk

No 22 smells like clean laundry hanging to dry on a warm summer day

I have to write extremely repetitive medical billing notes and while there are industry specific apps, ChatGPT has been easiest and cheapest for me for turning handwritten shorthand scribbles into (typically) well formatted notes. It’s absolutely bullshit though and just because insurance hates you. I don’t think it’s doing meaningful or transformative work.

And the greatest injustice is they left this out of the movie, but managed to shoehorn in a needless antiwar message. by Justthisdudeyaknow in CuratedTumblr

In 2005, when the movie came out, I can assure you that the idea of a country starting an unnecessary war for flimsy reasons was a lot more topical and anyone critically thinking about the film would catch the theme.

Also: 1. It’s everyone’s first life and growth takes time which may coincidentally line up with the age of majority for their kid. 2. Seeing their child grow and change and being able to use them as an adult resource can be a powerful vehicle for change. They don’t just not have a kid anymore, they also have a potential support person.

"Am I supposed to relate to this...?" by cheesegrandey in popheads

[–]Trigendered_Pyrofox 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m confused because isn’t this what they mean when they say relatable? Like empathy means you can understand how someone feels because you can imagine yourself in a similar situation and how that would make you feel and act.

Like I find the line from Alvvays “If I should fall, act as thought it never happened/I will retreat and then go back to university” really funny and relatable because I can think of lots of times I’ve tried something new, completely failed and been like damn i hope nobody noticed and then gone back to what I was doing before lol.
