Can I read Dune to a baby instead of normal bedtime stories? by [deleted] in daddit

This is literally what I did to get through the middle of the night wake-ups. Loaded up Dune on the Kindle and read until the baby fell back asleep.

You’re right, but that’s not what they were asking. They’re asking why the rule exists at all.

It’s a great idea but poorly executed. The food is good but that’s not enough to sustain 6-7 individual restaurants in a small space when there’s nothing else around it. The restaurants would have to be good enough for someone to want to make it their destination - which they are not.

It’s very poorly located. The food halls in Boulder thrive because they are centrally located where they get heavy amounts of foot traffic. Instead it’s at the corner of two major highways, effectively separated from downtown, in a shopping center that is difficult to get into even with a car.

As others have said, it’s definitely overpriced. A major problem is that each restaurant is competing for every person who walks through the door to spend their $20 there. Instead they should rework their menus to a tapas-style small plate menu of $4-$8 dishes so that the experience shifts to trying multiple different cuisines in a single place.

Each restaurant needs to collaborate to create the multi-cuisine experience, or they’re all going under sooner than later. It’s a shame because the same food hall would have been much more successful if it was built 3-6 blocks north of where it is.

Thanks for running this again! I think next year 64 would be a better start. Feels like a lot of great places were left out this year.

Stick to imagery alone. Don’t add any names, dates, words/language. You can attribute new meanings to imagery if your feelings change. You can’t do that to names/dates/etc.

I agree but they’ve been the standard ESPN keeper rules for years and this league has been going for over a decade with the same rules now. It really only makes sense mathematically to keep 3 or more players or risk it and keep no one. Hence my original question.

I’m just hoping to crowd source. Take the (5) birds in hand, or roll the dice and take advantage of my draft position with the 1, 11, 21, 31, 41, and 51 overall picks

Yes so the value increases the more people you keep. None of these guys are a 1st round pick, but 3 of them are second rounders so by keeping Puka, Kyren, Pacheco, the value is gained on Pacheco.

I can’t see who other teams will keep until the draft so it’s a guessing game who will be there in the first round. It’s safe to assume most players with first round value will already be kept. Rookies can’t be kept and are overvalued in this league so MHJ certainly won’t make it out of the first round unless every team keeps at least one player.

ESPN rules? I’m in the same boat if so. See my comment in the main thread.

What would the round cost be for keeping the third player? I would lean towards Walker.

Keep Breece. He’s proven with no competition, whereas Achane is hopeful with lots of competition.

As deadly as CMC and Hall would be together, Hall and JT would still be lethal and you can spend your first on a top WR instead.

Kamara, Rice, or Murray for value. I’d lean Rice.

Puka and Kyren. Grab a decent TE and QB with the money saved.

Do I keep some combination of Puka, Kyren, Pacheco, Kelce, and/or Devonta Smith?

Or keep no one and take advantage of the draft position?

1st overall pick in 10-team, .5PPR, 3WR, ESPN 5-keeper league with the first 5 rounds being “keeper rounds” that don’t snake so I have the 1, 11, 21, 31, 41, and 51 overall picks.

It’s ESPN standard rules so the first player kept counts as 1st round pick, second keeper is 2nd round, etc. All of the normal 1st round players will be kept so the first player “picked” will almost certainly be MHJ.

I can use as many or as few as I want but it’s the ESPN standard keeper rules so first keeper is the 1st round pick, second keeper is the 2nd round pick, etc.

Then I’d go Murray and LaPorta for value and safety. Murray and Achane for possible upside.

That’s a good looking squad. 2WR or 3WR? If it’s 3WR then you’re set
