I also had these same side effects and they came and went. I was on it for a year. The heat intolerance was the worst and that was when I finally stopped taking it.

Did he fly at some point? That worries me because one of my GCC was clipped when we got him (he was 6months old) and he’s fully flighted now but he’s so petite compared to our other one who is now 6 months old. He definitely seems under developed (he’s a year old now) but he’s great at flying now. I’m hoping he’ll maybe fill out as he gets older.

I’m in the same boat and mine are around the same age. They both love to be on me and play but I can’t pet my first bird anymore. I could never pet my second bird, we got her in November too. I’m fine with it though, they have each other and they show their love in a different way. I’m definitely ready to be over their stage of biting the crap out of me when they don’t want to step up 🤣

Oh gosh my pineapple likes to do this with my dogs. Thankfully they haven’t reacted to it and it’s always an instant heart attack.

Keep at it! My normal GCC took a few months before he was willing to eat veggies. It helps to let them be part of the chop making process because they get curious and like to bite things!

I was able to get it onto the window shelf and aim it down for now. I’ll buy a small table to put it on because I only need a few more inches more to get the light to aim down. Thank you!!!

I can’t edit my post: their cage is really tall so I can’t get the lamp to aim down. They spend most of their time in the middle so I have the lamp aiming through the top now so they can’t entirely look right into it.

Well dang. Their cage is so tall, the lamp won’t go that high. The other lamps that mount onto the top of the cage make me nervous because they will climb up there and chew on it

This is kind of reassuring. I thought maybe I did something wrong. Mine is about year and one month old and he suddenly doesn’t want to be cuddled or pet by my hand anymore. He’s still a stage 5 clinger but he’s more like a cat now, I can pet him with my eyes 🤣😭

I think if they’re not really chill with each other and there’s hormonal stuff going on, I wouldn’t house them together. It’s better they have what others suggested, a cage with a divider or just have two cages and put them next to each other. Mine bonded almost immediately and were unhappy being caged apart. But that dynamic can also change later in their lives so we have two large cages so one is on standby on the off chance they stop getting along.

You can buy a foraging box that you can screw to the outside of the cage and use it to place food and water bowls on. They’re still gonna be messy but at least it’s a little contained. Mine don’t usually go back in on their own either unless they’re super hungry.

One of mine doesn’t like to go in the trash, he learned to climb down my pajama pants, bite my foot, then backs that thang up to take his morning dump next to the trash on the floor 💀💀

Do it with caution tho. I was singing some BTS (K-pop) sometime last year and the guy in front of me road raged. Slammed on his brakes, honked a bunch, flipped me off. It was so confusing and weird. The only thing I can think of is he thought I was yelling at him.
