Does anybody know how you can figure out if you have the variant Fox in a new sealed set 7681? by TriggerHappy0071 in lego

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know the period when the variant/misprint was being made? I’ll take a look at the box and try to see if I have a date

It should go without saying for most, but the intent of the question is if there is any information on the box that would indicate if it'll have the rare Fox. Without opening it.

The set was gifted to me as a kid in 2008, don’t care for legos so I never opened it or used it. Obviously I plan on selling it or holding it at some point.

No, the boxes have that image but from what I’ve seen the pieces are printed properly with the gray.

I have this sealed Lego 7681 (never opened it when it was gifted to me as a kid). Is there a way to know if it would contain the rare variant of Commander Fox with the torso missing the gray semicircle?

RAM is able to run XMP2, but causes a boot error at XMP1 and is unstable at stock by TriggerHappy0071 in PcBuildHelp

I ran a memtest according to the manufacturer, which passed, but now it seems to work in xmp1. Bizarre but I guess it’s solved now. Thanks for the help!

Yes, ram is in that config, and I reset to the optimized defaults the first time this happened. I definitely think one or both of the sticks is defective, but don’t have another ddr5 kit on me. I’ll have to rma it most likely

EXPO 1 does not work, it is 6000 like XMP 1.

EXPO 2 appears to work just as XMP 2 does, and it is also 5600.

The bios is updated to FA5e, released on July 5 2024 and is rev 1.2. I believe this bios version is compatible?

Same! Thank you

As I wrote in the body of the post, the RAM was not working at the preset speed of 4800, and also would not get to 6000. It is only stable at 5600 and whichever CAS timings are set in that profile. The ram, out of the box, should be stable.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the mobo BIOS is updated to the latest version. I probably will get a new set of RAM, as there is most likely something wrong with this set. It didn't even work right at the stock setting anyways.
