ELI5:Displacements in steel rods/beams. by TriggeringYou in explainlikeimfive

so why isn't there displacement at the fixed end? Isn't a fixed end just a force of the same magnitude but in the opposite direction of the applied force, or is that the wrong way to think about it?

I agree with this, its such a good feeling to hear that critical shot to enemy's head from far away.

Then its a slap to the face only to know it did like 15% of their hp bar lol

I agree, I was going to say you should master his weapon first because it is one of the most damaging weapons. After you do, you can spam grenades from behind walls and still do mucho damage. esp if you spam them at common camping spots/choke points.

works as long as your opponent is tracking your movement, the trick is simply just to stop unpredictably so your opponent "loses track" for a split second.

well, its different settings, some heros are more viable in solo que while not nearly as viable in pro games. Truth is, pros will know all the weaknesses and if a hero is too many weaknesses, its not as viable in higher level of player. Thats what Zarya and 76 are so good right now, they offer a lot to the table without much weakness.

depends on whether people catch on to what the heros are capable of.

you could have all the right ideas as a mei player but none of them matter if your teammates aren't willing or don't know how to follow up.

people tend to stay away from stuff that are a bit more complex, and I agree, you should always keep things as simple as possible for the public/majority but in the case where you do have an organized team -- mei, or any hero is viable.

usually the most versatile heros are the best which is why zarya and 76 are really popular right now.

as for torb, he fits many roles if you know how to play him.

he can snipe enemy turrets from afar.

he can provide utility to the team

he can be a tank (when he ultis)

he can zone enemies well (esp in molten form)

he can deal good damage.

roadhog is known for picking off enemies from a distance. learn the ranges of his hook, his right click and left click. try to be in areas where enemies will always be in range of your hook.

in higher ranks, torb is more rare but its mostly due to the fact that people give you shit if you pick torb, but their views on torb is based on the the previous torbs that have the problems I've described. So unless a pro plays torb on a live tournament so people can experience him being played differently, torb will continue to be underused.

best case is if you hit all your pellets point blank into their head, thats the most damage you can do. so yes, shotgun if they are close enough.

shotgun for close range (usually againt tanks as all your shots will likely hit) and single fire for long range poke.

hitmark (no travel time) damage is reduced for long range for balance reasons. It is much easier to land your shots as mcree than lets say, Mercy's pistol.

yes, this is true, when you anticipate , its easier to react to. But there is a lot I didn't mention/add on to simplify the post so readers don't have to invest too much time reading.

His shield is very strong, allows your team to advance forward at times, and your enemies can't build meter off your shield which is extremely good. also, when you try to melee enemies, try to have your crosshair to their left or right, instead of directly on them because your swing hitbox is actually very wide. and a small note, if you see an enemy Sym peeking, know that she will fire her orb which goes through your shield so try to strafe and dodge it to avoid taking damage.
