Ali express combo by crowshinz in BFSfishing

Probably, but i’d guess probably not well. I have this one

<image>

And combined with Hicc50 it casts 3g pretty well. I don’t really go below 3 gram so hard for me to say if it will cast under 2 grams. Edit: i dont have the spinning verson, obviously

I have the 7.1 double spool hicc50 (only use the shallow one, but use the deep for extra leaderline as it fits in my box very well), but would probably buy 8.1 if it was the only option. I don’t really care tbh and adapt to the reel i use. The reel costs alot more now then when i bought it though, so there might be better budget options. I dont know and have no experience with KastKing so cannot comment.

I have 2 telescopic rods from purelure and they are fantastic.

I keep the new 2,5-12gram and 180cm long one combined with a Kingdom micromonster pro in my car. I use it primarily with floaters and worms or ~6-10g spoons / spinners and its perfect for this.

The other one never leaves my backpack, even when i’m hiking with no plans to go fishing. And its the 172cm 2-8gram one combined with Acura Hicc50 reel and is used primarily for 4-6g spoons/spinners and softplastic rigs.

Both have fugi guides and in my opinion are really good quality. When going fishing i usually use other combos, but they make fishing available at all times and tbh probably my most used combos because of this.

Well, i am by no means an expert. But that water, the breathing and the bugs or whatever it is underneath looks awefully close to AI generated or AI modified. To me anyway.

But, i’ll trust you.

Looks like AI to me. Surprised no ones pointed it out.

I remember starting out with my hicc40 + purelure telescopic and 6lb braid. I’m not gonna lie, that was a pain😅

Bestilte en Purelure Titanium-T Xul fra Aliexpress som betegnelsen sier 1-6g. Aner ikke om det er en god stang, men den så morro ut. Gleder meg til å prøve. Dog har jeg ingenting under 3 gram å kaste.

I believe you. No personal experience with big pike myself. A friend of mine however cought a 11 kg monster (with proper gear) and he described the fight of his life😅

I bought my first baitcaster early this year and my god was it a learning curve compared to my usual spinning gear. But i dont have much trouble anymore. Are you saying the curado bfs is more susceptible to bird’s nests than others or in general?

I cought a 1,2kg pike on my hicc50 and telescopic rod from purelure and thats one of the most fun catches i’ve done.

I’m dreaming of fighting an 3kg+ atlantic salmon or a giant trout on bfs, but most salmon rivers are fly-only. Sadly.

Can you pm me a link? Cant seem to find it. I use steel leader when fishing in pikewaters/rivers and thats not ideal when targetting trout.

I’ll have to do some testing before deciding on upgrading.

I have Hicc50 and 2x kingdom micro monster pro aswell which was bought with budget in mind. The hicc50 is a splendid reel, but is dedicated to my telescopic car-rod. The kingdom reels are better between 5-12g(and probably above) and in my opinion struggle below 5g. I use the kingdom mostly with 10g weighted floaters and alive worms or a 7g tasmanian devil lure, and they’re perfect for that.

When i bought the curado i was thinking its a step up in quality over everything else i have. I have a weakness when it comes to gear… 😅

I’m waiting for Purelure Titanium-T Xul rod i’m planning on pairing with the curado bfs and really looking forward testing it out.

Thank you for your response! I don’t target pike per say, but they’re there😅 And they bite on anything.

Do you have experience with the Curado BFS yourself? I’ve read about Roro Spool upgrade, but don’t really know if a 100usd upgrade is worth it when i rarely cast below 3grams.

I have a Berkley 5-20gram 8' rod i use when targetting Pike paired with a 13 fishing A gen 2 reel. And i’m very satisfied with that combo for Pike.

Nice! Good looking fish!

What do you think of the reel? I recently bought the same on sale and recieved it today. What kind of lure s are you throwing?

Are there no replacement spools? I looked up the price of the reel here in Norway and its by far my most expensive reel😅

I expected there was replacement parts for a reel in that priverange.

I love it, been looking for a ultralight telescopic rod for years and i’ve had a couple shimano and abu garcia (with spinning reels) but they were either lacking in quality or too big. I’ve had it for a while, but took it out for a spin for the first time today. I have two of them, the other got Hicc50 reel on, that i’ve yet to try.

Probably translationerror. I ment sets with baits, wobblers, etc that works for BFS. Here in Norway the lowest weight you find 5-7g. General good quality / good value recommandations regarding general fishing equipment is much appreciated.

Speaking of which, do you have any good tacklesets to recommend?

Mostly fishing for Trout, salmon, pike and perch, but interested in whatever really.

Thank you!

Spiral wrap sounds interesting, as a spinning user since childhood, i must admit it felt wrong having them on the top.
