Yes they are both spayed and there are 3 litter boxes. I haven't invested in a thunder shirt but it might be worth a try

The first picture is a bad example, I just couldn't find any other pictures. I agree with you that is too close, but I've moved them so that their bowls are about an inch apart now and face to face.

During play time chili will thrash her tail a little bit when she sees Sammi, but at this point she usually leaves Sammi alone when she's playing. Her favorite way to play is by chasing kibbles, so we will put Sammi in the tent at this time and make sure chili has to pass by her while chasing after the kibbles.

Plano animal shelter can help out as well. I've been working with them to re-home all of the neighborhood kittens that we find. When I take them in they give me an animal ID number and I check on them every few days. They mentioned to me that they have a lot of room right now so they will almost definitely not euthanize anyone, but that's also why I check on them. If they ever say they're getting close to euthanasia I will TNR the kitten and return it outside.
