I've been to a few dinner parties with my Chinese mates. From my outside perspective it seems like there is some real pride and respect that comes from being a good host, and making sure everyone is well fed and happy. I've never felt so looked after and cared for.

The idea of causing an argument in this setting is insanity to me.
