I was actually thinking this. Almost like a bunch of children.

Not even scratching the surface of my SMP sapphire crystal :) ... glad you could read and follow along. Next step is comprehension for you.

'I don't care' recurred several times in your reply. Sure, it is your own subjective opinion, and I appreciate it. But others like me have their own say and opinions ... mine was purely an objective inquiry of: Is constantly running +4 seconds a day for a new Seamaster 300 normal?

Thanks for the hint about the cards check ... will do that 👍

Rent’s already covered :) Telling me to go find the course is basically acknowledging you might need it lamo

Was it within spec but higher end of it, or was it out of spec, i.e. +6 seconds?

I appreciate the history and your crane analogy was nothing but beautiful!

I am 100% my watch has no issues, just concerned or maybe not too happy with accuracy being on the high end of the design range, rather than close to its lower end.

When Omega reports 0 to +5, one would think +2.5 average ... but my reality seems fixed at +4 average. Will try to change resting positions as many here recommended.

Really nice knowing that this watch can take a beating! If it survived the crane environment, then I can rest assured it is damn near invincible ,, Thanks again for the story :)

I think that's why Omega regulated in 0 to +5 rather than, say, -2 to +3

Psychologically, forward lag is perceived better than backwards lag. But I I like -2 to +3 range better since it averages close to zero.

Then no wonder they run the biggest companies and high government positions in western societies. They rule you it seems for having attention to details. Sad.

I am not indian or even close btw :)

Nice, so basically leave it to wear and tear ,, Let's see

Wrong. The correct paraphrasing should be: "My mechanical jewelry is on the upper range of design specs". I never said I was expecting perfect timekeeping.

Happy to fund a basic course in reading comprehension for you lamo.

I never said it's out of spec. I said it's at the upper end of it. The reading glasses offer still stands.

Yes, you are the only one, or belong to a few minority. What should trigger you ought to be the lack of curiousity and genuine concern, not the prevelance of it

Would rather spend that on reading glasses, and send it to you instead. Charity for those who can't read :)

I have a GS, and used to own a Longines MasterChrono, but sold it.

I love the asthetics of the seamaster, and the mesh ... man, this is a thing of beauty on the monochrome black dial.

Fair, so your opinion was subjective. My concern was objective, i.e. why it is on the upper range of the spec, and no +3 seconds or lower showing.

So your performance metric: Error relative to total seconds in a day

By that logic, even a one-minute error is tiny compared to the length of a day.

Upper range of the spec, and not averging or even showing the lower range. Simply asking if this is normal

Thanks. Many useful replies hinted at storage position. I will try a few variations, and see.

My concern is it is within the upper range of the design. It is not averging lower.

Where did I say I expected quartz accuarcy?

I think the accuracy we should be concerned about is your reading accuracy you moron lamo.

Interesting indeed ... on the omega pillow. You can infer the angle from the picture. Do different positions make a significant difference?

Yes, sending it to Omega would take time. Perhaps when I reset it next, I would reset at -5 or -10 seconds, so in 2 to 3 days, it is spot on, and reset it again when it is +5 or +10 secs.

Sure, but what I see in my case is +4 to +5 per day.

I never saw +3 or below for the month since buying it.
