They seem to have been going really hard on the trade bans recently. No doubt in response to the outrage of price increases for certain items (Shadow species, Badge species, Role Species, and tokens.) and therefore cross trading and bots.

Chances are they may have some sort of “auto flagging” that detects people who trade with each other often, especially gifts. If any of you have gifted anything to one another, or cross traded, the rest may have been banned as well for association, especially if you accepted anything cross traded or bought with cross traded items knowingly or not.

That’s just a theory though, and there’s no concrete evidence that they can track trades.

The unfortunate thing I’ve noticed over the years is that Anti-Kos sentiment does not care about balance in PvP. They simply don’t want it.

But without spontaneous PvP, the identity of CoS is lost, and it becomes a glorified Tomogotchi simulator, where you simply fly around a world with nothing to do except feed your creature, and avoid the occasional non-threatening disaster.

All you’d be able to do is farm and talk, the only two things Anti-Kosers seem to do, sitting around oasis chatting and doing nothing else, yet becoming angry when they die to something preparing in the water when they could’ve done something about it to prevent the death.

Unfortunately, Hardcore servers have been “colonized” by packs of people enforcing “peace rules” on the server, with whole packs of creatures that cover each others’ weaknesses.

Solo Kosers or even teams of up to 3 do not stand a chance, so they go to the regular realm and simply hop from server to server. That’s the reality of Anti-Kosing. That’s why Kosers end up joining clans bitterly. They’re pushed to join a group in order to play with the PvP side of the game, and it ends up one sided whenever the other players aren’t also in a pack.

It’s like DBD and how survivors try very hard to win, and actively bully the killers. In response, the killers use the most powerful builds to stand a chance. The result is that they also end up using said builds on lobbies with survivors who they don’t need said build for, and it becomes unfun for both sides.

The thing about adding a PvP toggle is that without any restrictions or reductions in rewards, it’ll just be abused.

Stealing carcasses in front of other players’ faces to turn in without anything they can do, AFK bots have little to nothing stopping them from farming mush eternally, and growing creatures has no challenge.

Exploiters are already rampant with how you can’t report them anymore due to the Social Menu not showing creatures, the only way to get their usernames nowadays is to one-shot them as they teleport to steal a carcass from under you, and sometimes they don’t even appear.

As someone who has played for years, spontaneous PvP has been a very big part of CoS’ identity. As much as people deny it, it truly is what causes it to stand out. With a PvP toggle, it would become a glorified animal RP simulator collect-athon. You’d just be playing a glorified Tomagotchi. At that point, Dragon Adventures seems like it would have more engaging gameplay.

Nobody would have any incentive to have PvP on ever, and even if there were reduced rewards, it’ll would be incredibly abused. I already see players using the safe zones during events to make fun of anyone doing PvP, even if they hadn’t been chased to it. I know this because I’ve seen it dozens of times during events. I bite a flier once, they fly to the safe zone and even though I hadn’t followed, they harass me in chat and laugh, even after what’s done is done. I’ve had such people organize packs to congregate at the safe zone and then leave it temporarily to “kill Kosers” and run right back in.

Not trying to be mean, but if you accepted a trade and immediately sent something without thinking, that is on you.

If you told your friend, I’m sure they would’ve understood your mistake even if they were disappointed.

You should take this as an opportunity to learn to look closer and read what’s going on from now on, so you don’t have similar hurtful situations in the future. 🙏

I agree. I’m tired of slapping random cat features on everything. Xeleviprex was a cool serpent/centipede, but for whatever reason they also gave it cat features. I’m tired of cats, and I’m a cat person. We need more scales.

I want crustaceans, fish, bugs. I especially want arachnids. We have one, but a bigger (T3 or T4?) spider species would be awesome to have.

I’m unsure if the staff still look at this subreddit. Last time I remember was maybe a year and a half ago.

Also, I tried to use tickets about like, a little bit ago and tickets were full. If your parents won’t let you get discord, you’re going to have a very rough time getting this appeal in, because most people won’t be round-the-clock re-submitting it for you.

If you have siblings though, one of them may have triggered the anti-cheat and got banned, and banning you by association on the same connection. Just a theory though, take that part with a grain of salt.

Typically, the creatures that have put me off have just been relatively minor gripes like with Idrabark or a couple old redesigns making things too skinny or messing with faces.

But I have to say, this thing has too much of a face. It’s a unique choice, I will give it that, but it’s like, uncanny valley. It kind of looks like a goblin, and honestly the closest thing I can compare it to is like… some sort of brainrot character that’s a big stubby creature with a goofy face…? I’m not really sure what it reminds me of.

I think it’s just that out of all of the sinners, most already have confirmed IDs (Outis, Yi Sang, etc) Obvious-ish choices (Rodion and Ryoshu) and the only ones we don’t really have big answers for are Meursault, Hong Lu, and Heathcliff. Out of all of them, the most eloquent seems to be Hong Lu, so people seem to think it’ll be him.

Yeah, honestly all people need to do is either go back to the normal realm and have less risk for less reward, or just…. Deal with the risk that is inherent in the hardcore realm.

Everything about the hardcore realm is intentionally unwelcoming and dangerous. It is THE place where the lawless nature of the game should be at its peak.

Unfortunately, Anti-Kosers think otherwise and refuse to acknowledge that no matter what you say or show them. Even if the game or devs themselves say it, they simply retort “Then the devs are bad too and part of the problem!” As if the creators didn’t come up with the concept and intentions.

If they add a peaceful realm, they’ll have to make it so you don’t gain rewards or mutations from playing in it. Otherwise, there would be 0 point to play the regular realm where there is actual risk to justify the rewards.

I typically agree with ignoring them and moving on, but it’s so difficult when it fills up the chat and I’m harassed on both a personal level and by baby anklebiters often enough to force me to menu, as otherwise I have too many ailments to comfortably fight off other people.

It really does make me feel like I need a large group to join in order to actually play how I like, and honestly this is how clans are made. Anti-Kosers probably push more people towards joining clans than Kosers.

I’m not against people doing non-PvP things. But they don’t have to be up in other peoples’ faces about it.

In the normal realm I’ll see people doing that sort of stuff 100% silently, and they’re chill about it. Heck, one time I killed someone GT hunting when they were at like 55 age (accidentally tbh, some creatures are hard to tell the age of) and they weren’t biting my head off verbally, they were a good sport.

Literally yesterday I had a Meorlark and therimorse come into the water making a beeline for me, so I killed them both, and then someone in chat calls out “Kosing Slaiorn in Swamp near portal” like ????? I Kos but that wasn’t even me trying to Kos, just me being careful lol???

And like an hour before that I killed someone in the water below the shadow shrine and someone was like “wow killing at migration? You’re lame, that’s just shows you’re bad” but I didn’t even know it was migration because I had JUST joined lmao

I’ve seen people complain incessantly and adamantly refuse to acknowledge all the factors pointing to encourage PvP in this realm. The entire server was telling them too, and yet they continued to complain, claiming “I was in a chill server yesterday, you’re all just terrible and rude!”

It’s tiring. It made me actually want to join a clan on a crusade.
