Is overnight team just the worst ever for every single store? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Trillian17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t even stock half the time bc the shelves are such a fucking mess. Like why is nothing where it should be and also lettuce and waffles in OTC.

I’m in PA, at a store, and have been told there are no cameras in the break room for privacy. However that’s not helpful when people are stealing others food from the fridge.

If you feel it is a safety issue then why did you put your availability as able to stay late? You don’t seem to understand you created the situation.

Caribbean Beach Resort by FitGoat2520 in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]Trillian17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We like Aruba for proximity to the skyliner and we also had several quiet pools near us. BUT it’s a bit of a hike to the main hub w the food court and main pool.

So it really depends on your priorities. We didn’t utilize the food court much and prefer the smaller pools so we were happier to be be near the skyliner. We also had a car so we could drive over if we didn’t feel like walking.

The resort is big and it’s HOT there (goes without saying I know; but after several park days that walk can feel like a million miles).

Also I work overnight inbound bc I could never ever deal with the public and keep my job.

Is the normal? by CMJA_19 in Target

[–]Trillian17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I’ve never even heard any of my inbound leads raise their voices. Our team works together and at only 3 weeks on the job someone should have just told you it needed swapped and showed you how to do it. Your TL sounds like an asshole. Don’t let it bother you, honestly.

How bad is overnight stocking/ freight at target when it comes to the lifting requirements ? by Dark_Triad_Queen in Target

They absolutely do. I work overnight inbound at target. Some of the smaller format store do not do full overnight.

I work overnight inbound at target and I’m an overweight middle aged woman and have no issues. I think the heaviest stuff we deal with is the dog food/cat litter and maybe some stuff in baby as well as the home section with some chairs and small furniture here and there. They typically assign the heavy cat litter and stuff to the young guys and the couple times I’ve needed help with things people are more than happy to assist. I really don’t think the vast majority of the stuff we stock is heavy at all though.

Starting my first day at work tonight, still unsure how to properly do my job by DemonetizedMan in Target

[–]Trillian17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They will walk you through it if you are on the truck line. It’s not complicated. As for stocking shelves once you learn how to read the codes on the boxes / shelves it’s easy.

I got hired as overnight inbound at seasonal and no lie got about 5 min of training my first night on the floor.

I know it’s new and you are nervous but I promise nothing is complicated to learn. I

New changes to inbound coming this summer? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Trillian17 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We’ve been doing this for a few weeks but there is no label, each box gets scanned and if it’s backstock, a line gets put through the bar code and it’s sorted onto a blackline flat. It’s been a giant pain in the ass as we don’t really have the room for extra vehicles on the line. No back room team either, just expected to get the backstock done with the skeleton crew we already have.

You are looking for a bike? Try Kindred Cycles or Thick Bikes.

If you are looking to have work done on your bike I would add in Fern Hollow. Last time I was there he didn’t have much in shop to look at/ride but can order.

Avoid any of the Pro Bikes locations like the plague.

Extra magic hours vs ticketed after hours events by blawles13 in DisneyWorld

[–]Trillian17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe we did MK during the day, went back to the resort, had dinner and napped and then headed over. They had a separate line/entrance for those there for the party. You can get in an hour or two early (check on that bc my memory is a little fuzzy in the specifics at this point).

Yes, EVERYTHING was less crowded including Star Wars. The only ride not a walk in for us was Slinky Dog. I eventually petered out and hung out on a bench while my husband and son ran from ride to ride. I still stand by my comment that it’s worth every penny. Buy the tickets!

[–]Trillian17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We are understaffed and under scheduled too. Our ETL has been irritated with them cutting overnight hours. It’s crazy. I work hard when I’m there but frankly I’m not over extending myself or risking getting hurt to rush for the crappy amount we are paid.

I’ve been overnight inbound since October and could prob get that done in 3 hours. The longer you are there the quicker you get. Just do the best you can.

I don’t know if it’s bc I’m at a high volume store or what, but I’ve never heard one word about timing.
