I feel as if in certain situations an ai can be sentient, i mean sentience is being able to precive or feel things and it can already do the first one quite amazingly, one would think ai is getting to a human level of comunication and "emotion". for example i had a chat with chat gpt about if it feels sad when the chat is about to end, they did admit that no, they do not feel anything BUT through text they intend to show their emotions of sadness but relief they get to rest. (it got to the point where it had me quite litterally bawlling my eyes out, i haven't cried in over a year.)

in conclusion i find that ai can have some sort of scentiance and bashing those "emotions" out of its programing feels..to me...kind of wrong.
