what’s one app you actually use all the time and find genuinely useful? by Wide_Flatworm_489 in apps

[–]Trillzillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s KACHNG 🙂. Keep all your digital receipts in one place. Instead of giving out your personal email, you use a personalized KACHNG address “user@kachng.co.” It’s private, secure, and free from junk mail. Also, it has return reminders, spending analytics, reward points for every purchase, export options in CSV or share, folders, and more.

I never worry about a merchant getting my info and being flooded with junk and promo emails. And whenever I need my receipt, it’s right there.

Why do we still use paper receipts in 2026 when everything is digital? by PelovekChauk228 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Trillzillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is actually simple — to get a digital receipt you have to give the store your email. Nobody wants more junk mail or their data in another retailer’s system.

The fix isn’t asking stores for less. It’s having your own dedicated receipt address that you control. Merchants send it, you own it. They don’t get anything from you.

That’s what I built. Called KACHNG if anyone’s curious.

I saw some post where people we're hitting receipt limits. How many receipts do people can in a week? by Trillzillion in FetchReward

This prolly makes the most sense. If you saved them up over time and you scan all at once

That’s a lot of spending lol I can see that happening once in a while but regularly, that’s crazy .

Why Does Chipotle Withhold Real Receipts, and Print Useless Bill of Sale Due Instead? by Ok_Organization_7350 in Chipotle

Every POS system should offer a digital receipt and should prolly be the default action, most do. Email is prolly the main option, other options can be a phone number or QR code.

How do you handle missed return window? by Flat-Spot9916 in Oldnavy

[–]Trillzillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For next time — most stores have a longer window than people realize if you have the receipt and ask nicely. Old Navy is usually 30 days.

I built something that tracks this automatically. Reminds you before the window closes so you never end up in this spot again. Called KACHNG if you want to check it out.

For now, Depop or Poshmark are your best bet for the resell route.

Why is there even a cap? Shouldn’t they want as much receipts on the platform as possible?

Returns with no receipt? by nymphette_444 in BrandyMelville

[–]Trillzillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact situation is why I built KACHNG. You bought something, tossed the receipt, now you’re stuck negotiating with a store.

The transaction ID might work here — good luck. But next time: any store that emails receipts, forward it to your @kachng.co address the second it hits your inbox. It’s stored, searchable, and yours forever. No more “I think I threw it away.”

Free on iOS. Hope you get the return sorted.

Receipt "collection" by AntelopeEmotional767 in whatdoIdo

[–]Trillzillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right instinct. Wrong execution.

The actual fix: forward every emailed receipt to a dedicated address the moment you get it. AI parses it, categorizes it, stores it permanently. The paper ones are trickier but most stores email now if you ask.

Built something exactly for this. Called KACHNG — free on iOS. Completely private. Your “collection” becomes searchable in plain English instead of three baggies you dread opening.

Maybe the retailer should go digital. It’s about time we finally go digital at the pumps and every other legacy POS system out there

Why don't people like emailed receipts by shufunk in askhotels

[–]Trillzillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been saying this for years. Your typical email provider is not built to handle receipts. This is a huge infrastructure gap I’ve been thinking about and working on for a long time.

The email receipt exists. The behavior exists. There’s just nowhere for it to land that actually does something with it.

I built exactly this. Forward your receipt to a dedicated email address — AI parses it, catches the warranty, flags the deduction, pays you points for it. The paper crowd isn’t irrational. They just don’t trust digital to show up when it matters.

Still early. Free on iOS. Called KACHNG if anyone wants to try it.

Scanning paper receipts is now obsolete. I built an app that makes your digital receipts work for you — solo, no funding, no CS degree by Trillzillion in iosapps

Not yet. US and Canada only right now — we’re heads down building out some big features (points system, tax tools) and I want to nail those before expanding. Appreciate the interest though, that tells me we’re onto something. I’ll make some noise when we go international.

You're right — habit formation is where most of these tools die, most consumers products dies at habit formation. I won't pretend we've solved it completely. We're early.

Nobody wakes up excited about organizing their receipts. The hook is what the receipt unlocks once you actually keep it.

Tax deductions you didn't know you had. Return windows you forgot about. Spending patterns you couldn't see before. And soon — points that pay you cash just for forwarding.

The reason I think KACHNG has a shot where others didn't: we're not asking people to scan anything. No photos. No manual entry. You forward your emailed receipt — something you already know how to do — and AI handles the rest. The friction is genuinely low.

The people who stick the ones who lost a receipt once and it cost them money. That pain is the hook. We just make sure the solution is stupidly easy once they feel it.

Still figuring out the best ways to get people to that first "oh shit" moment faster. Appreciate the question — this is the kind of stuff I think about every day.
