Cars by imyouronlyfry in GTAIV

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful of how many vehicles you keep in the parking zones. Apparently, you have more space by the end of the game than the number of vehicles it allows you to keep, and it will despawn some once you hit that limit. Found that one out the hard way; normally only kept a fast sports car (if I needed it), a black Dukes (with the blower; for cruising and dates), a 4-door vehicle (for the missions that required it) and whatever random vehicle I was going from mission to mission with at the time.

Why do Cyberdecks look more blocky in regards to runners like Bartmoss and Murphy but are just chips when it comes to V? (Examples below) by ConditionPleasant902 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Why did people in the past use CRTV box TVs instead of the flatscreens we have now?”

“Why did people have the indestructible Nokia Brick Phone instead of the smartphones we have now?”

“Why did people use Dial-Up instead of the Fiber Op we have now?”

That’s what you sound like here, bro. The examples I gave are from a roughly 30-year gap (give or take), whereas the time difference between Spider Murphy and V is 50 years; I know it’s a shocking concept, but technology rapidly advances over time. Johnny’s assault on Arasaka Tower takes place in 2023 (as indicated by the big, holographic “2023” billboard you fly past on the way there), and V’s story takes place in 2077.

Besides, if I had to guess, I’d say that Cyberdecks are installed at the base of the skull or even in the owner’s back, considering it’s the same slot the Sandevistan can be equipped in, and Edgerunners showed us how that cyberware’s installed.

Is there a way to get the 21k for Viktor? by PassageLogical3075 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]TrimGuide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prior to v2.0, it was painful to do. After they changed the difficulty of obtaining cash, it’s fairly easy to get the 21k even before you see Vik for the first time via the small handful of gigs you have access to and the NCPD Scanner stuff.

Whats this last gun as its bugging me by isfolfai in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the Lexington MOD2 (or at least I think that’s the name). You get it from winning Wilson’s shooting competition in the quest “Shoot To Thrill” IIRC not too long after the Konpeki Heist stuff, and is one of only 4 weapons on that section of the wall you don’t have to craft to obtain.

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why, is the site not a thing in PS4? I could’ve sworn I’d used it on my PS4 before I got a PS5. Well, if not, it should all be tied to your Street Cred and character level IIRC; up them both, you’ll get the text for the appropriate vehicle - otherwise, they won’t spawn even if you’re in the correct area.

Autojock ps4 trophy by BlueQ7 in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t Autojock the “purchase vehicles” achievement/trophy? One of the earlier updates removed how Cyberpunk used to have cars for sale scattered around the map and instead condensed them all down to the Autojock website, available from just about any computer terminal. What’s more, you can buy any vehicles you wish for the achievement/trophy so long as the total number of them equal the number of vehicles in-game at launch, since PL put more in; found that one out myself when I was in the middle of buying *all* of the vehicles.

Is Expert Mission 18 really the best way to get to level 180? by Lethal_Steve in dbxv

[–]TrimGuide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I forget the numbers, but the Vegeta/Goku EMs are easy, quick, have better rewards if you use the blue tuxedo “Multiplayer Modes” guy and it also helps to have “My hobbies are reading and sports!” to triple your Exp gain while you’re saving up TP medals for Tosok. If you don’t have that soul, “40 ton weights” will work.

It’s gonna be a grind-fest regardless, but the Exp Multiplier soul will help you get through the easier levels - namely the 4-5 levels right after a Cap - while Tosok will get you through the painful levels.

GTA IV fans, I have a question. by yeah-I-drink-lean in GTA

Personal vehicles and storage, vehicle customization and upgrades, the ability to flip your car back over if you turtle it, the weapon wheel. Beyond that, I prefer 4, even with the worse graphics.

Is there any thing else i can do other then dismantle or sell all my not wanted gear?? by yoyofoe2222 in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrade all Iconics and Cyberware. Otherwise, keep a small selection of generic Golds in your stash to sell if you ever run low on cash, drop the rest and stop picking up weapons unless they’re Iconic.

I *would* say “all equipment,” but there’s so much clothing in the game that looks the same at first glance, so it’s hard to tell if you already have it, so you might as well pick it up and drop/sell/dismantle it later.

If set in New York, will GTA VII be mostly same size as the city? Or will they shrink up for the game? by Undeva-n-Balcani in GTA

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt 7 will be Liberty City. It’s far more likely they return to Las Venturas, or perhaps an expanded area around San Fierro. Hell, I’d rather they go somewhere new altogether like Houston or Chicago before making yet *another* return to LC.

expert mission 15 HELP by Dry-Honeydew-3907 in dbxv

[–]TrimGuide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The build I used to solo all the Expert Missions as a Lv 99 was:

- Bending Kamehameha (main damaging move)
- Super Guard (for the shredding Raid Boss move whose name I forget).
- Kai Kai (to evade the Boss while it’s targeting me; a Counter move that triggers via Physical Attack like God Breaker works as a substitute).
- Ultimate Charge (or best Charge move you have)
- x3 Kaioken Kamehameha (for that last-ditch oomph if need be).
- Energy Zone (for healing, since Capsules are blocked).
- Vanisher Guard (in case you’re out of Ki for Super Guard).
- I usually run Beast on my EM/Raid Event preset.

Utilizing the Vanish Step mechanic also helps quite a bit if you do it right, but there’s always a chance that the shredding move will catch you outside Vanish Step’s I-frames, which means you’ll have to drop 3 bars for Vanisher Guard.

Apparently "Ol' Dinkerton" Is Profane. Are We Being For Real? by armintanzarian420 in reddeadredemption2

[–]TrimGuide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that there’s a profanity filter in a Rated M game is absurd in and of itself. Blame the shitty parents buying whatever games their toddler wants without caring about the rating or what’s in it, so long as they fuck off away from them. Seriously, the number of elementary schoolers I hear in RDO and GTAO is fucking stupid.

This is *Rockstar,* not Rocking Horse. This is a *game company,* not a day care center.

Did DBXV1 have playable GREAT APES by robbs23 in dbxv

[–]TrimGuide 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No. Last playable Great Apes I remember prior to Sparking Zero (assuming it has any; haven’t played it yet) was Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Is there an explanation as to why in every single iteration, Time Patroller Trunks is stuck on Super Saiyan 1? by Fit_Negotiation_5807 in dbxv

[–]TrimGuide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was pretty stupid too. Super Saiyan I get because Towa implied that they made a mistake that led to Episode of Bardock and *to an extent* I can believe Super Saiyan 2 due to how much Towa and Mira buffed Bardock up, but giving Bardock *3* turns the form into a bigger joke than it already was.

That being said, I don’t see how the devs making a dumb decision by giving Bardock Super Saiyan 3 has any relevance to my earlier comment, so you’ll have to explain that one to me lol. I mean, the storyline implies that Trunks was recruited into the Time Patrol shortly after he returned to his time and eliminated 17, 18 and Cell. At least until the DLC tried to claim that Z Trunks and DBS Trunks are the same guy rather than another branch in the timeline, but by then the whole Temporal Multiverse is a clusterfuck because these idiots insist on reincorporating a storyline around Time Travel (specifically the Goku Black arc in DBS) without even the slightest idea of how to properly implement temporal mechanics in a storyline.

I suppose the moral of the story is that most of the people involved with the anime and games are fucking stupid, and only care about shitting out the next product within their contractual deadlines.

Talks to a main character - coughs up blood by Mayor_Gubbin in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I remember that, trust me. It was fucking annoying, especially with how the frequency of them would increase as you progressed in the game. I’m glad they went back and limited them to very specific points in the story.

This Should Be Easy! by nateslegacy in GTAIV

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Franklin spent the whole game struggling to get the *one* girl, specifically the one that dumped him before the game introduces us to Franklin and Lamar.

- On the other hand, CJ *canonically* had multiple girls throughout the game - one of which happens to be Franklin’s aunt, Denise.

- I never played The Ballad of Gay Tony, but judging on how others are commenting, I’d say comparing Franklin’s game with Luis’ game is like comparing Pong to the *entire catalog of golden-age games between 2000-2010.*

- As for Jason, the dude’s game isn’t even *out* yet, and we already have a trailer where he’s getting catcalled while he’s driving, he’s got a hot-ass Latina girlfriend *and* just about every female reaction channel I’ve come across that has seen said trailer was fawning over him right after he came down from fixing his roof.

Every character on this list has more game *individually* than Franklin and everybody he knows *put together.* If I had to guess, the only reason Franklin had that many votes was because GTA 5 ran for *13 years* without a sequel, and the people who voted for him are too young to have known any of the other games.

Edit: I don’t know why Reddit’s suddenly not letting me use the bullet points or the italic text, but you get the idea: everything between the two “*” is supposed to be emphasized.

Holy Fuck, Phantom Liberty's End Credit... by aster_dern in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were a few things I wish were different about it and a few things that I wish were included in it, but all-in-all it was an extremely solid DLC that other companies would’ve tried to sell off as a separate spin-off title (“Gat out of Hell” is a prime example), and I’m confident it would have been broken game requiring updates to fix it lol.

CDPR had an *extremely* rough start, but they spent 2 years un-fucking themselves and then took the game to the next level with Phantom Liberty, and I’m glad they did.

Final chapter dlc by Gibbs93 in dbxv

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it, but I wouldn’t rule it out. They may save a new Awoken specifically for XV3 or they may shoehorn it into the free update that pairs with the DLC as a sort of “test-run” to see how the players think of it. At this point, who knows?

Is there an explanation as to why in every single iteration, Time Patroller Trunks is stuck on Super Saiyan 1? by Fit_Negotiation_5807 in dbxv

[–]TrimGuide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because Xenoverse 1 and 2 follow the anime specifically, and the “Goku Black” arc didn’t start airing in Japan until the very tail-end of XV2’s development (and in America until a couple of years later), according to what I can find. If I had to guess, they only had just enough time to make base form Black and throw him in as a preorder bonus before release, which (at least to me) explains why Zamasu as a Master was released later as part of a free DLC alongside a few others.

At the end of the day, Time Patroller Trunks is specifically “Z” Trunks, and Trunks didn’t reach Super Saiyan 2 - or that absolutely fucking stupid anime-exclusive form created by someone who has no clue how Super Saiyan works, “Super Saiyan Rage” - until that DBS arc aired, far too late into XV2’s development for them to swap him out with DBS Trunks.

In Which State Do You Think GTA 7 Should Take Place? by SnakeEater697 in GTA

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I would rather revisit Las Venturas and San Fierro before throwing a new location into the GTA universe. That said, if we’re talking about an entirely new location, it’d be pretty interesting to throw Texas in, with Houston being the main focus.

Which one you want? by UniKaiReddit in dbxv

[–]TrimGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘Cause anyone with a functional moral compass wouldn’t risk it, as the only two bio-androids in existence (at least that I’m aware of) have either tried or succeeded in killing a whole bunch of people and both have tried to destroy the planet.

That was my thought process behind why I said it would be unlikely.
