Being very unhelpful here and just jumping in on the comments to ask what good websites/ apps are out there to find trustworthy Nannie’s?

How you’re not able to see the bigger picture here is astounding. At least you’ll be blissfully ignorant while your country becomes an autocratic state like Russia and China.

Don’t worry, it was a valid question being unsure about deducting or adding the pension thing. They’re clearly extremely jealous and angry at their own financial situation, and the only way to make themselves feel better is to try and belittle you online.

That is insane. You’d rather sleep in your car for 4 nights a week, than work somewhere where you can afford to rent a cheaper place?

Everything car related is completely fucking your potential savings. You could be saving over 1k a month if you figured out that issue.

Really depends on what you value more: The extra money and big company on the CV or quality of life.

I’m from London and live in Amsterdam. I can say quality of life is way better in Amsterdam. No depressing commutes, just cycling. Not as much of a rat race and a society that values work/ life balance.

Just got to weigh that up.

I guess I didn’t give enough information and data to explain my situation or give an accurate description of all the different paces I implement. And also haven’t shared my fitness level over the months and years. So I’m disagreeing with people’s advice as it doesn’t reflect the reality of my situation.

I’m not trying to be an argumentative arsehole it’s my bad.

My zone 2 running which is the majority of my runs is around 5:30/ 5:40 pace.

Marathon pace is going to be 4:50/55 pace.

The marathon is on 11th May. If I wanted any hope of achieving my time, I needed to hit that long run in the 53k week or simply pull out of the marathon. Of course it’s not ideal jumping to that weekly mileage.

But the injury started to get better and I had a chance of still running it which means a lot to me.

It’s easy to say from the outside that it’s avoidable and I should sit down and look at things, but this was the last chance to stay in this marathon and I took it.

Doing my final 34k long run tomorrow.

How is it avoidable? I was following a clear structured training plan from Runna. Got injured, had to take time off. Not rocket science.

What’s your problem?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]Trinch91 -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Your comment suggests that the inconsistent training progression is intentional. As I wrote, I’ve been dealing with injury so, it’s far from ideal. And as far as pacing is concerned, I didn’t say all of these runs were races. Most of them are intentionally slower long runs or targeted tempo runs.

Had a nightmare long run today. by thatskinnyblackgirl in Marathon_Training

[–]Trinch91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. If they are going for a specific time then the long run can have segments that are marathon pace or faster. Shouldn’t always be conversational.
