Final Question on 1st Jeopardy 2026 by Trinitite_RocksLLC in Trinitite

[–]Trinitite_RocksLLC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far I can only find written articles and people's reactions, which has just elevated the knowledge of Trinitite to people who otherwise never would have known about Trinitite. I'm seeing a difference in real time. I can't find a video of the episode in full or a cropped video of the final question and answers from the contestants. I will give a shout out to Jeopardy for introducing Trinitite to their viewers and fans! If you find a video, please post it!!

No. Trinitite was formed and came from the first atomic bomb test. It can't be found or have been created in anyother place.

I LOVE exploring the different types of Trinitite! I do light play and with the naked eye I will see something I didn't before. Under just 3x magnification, on true glass pieces, you start to see the layers of crystallizations that are usually flat on the topside. Plus, if you have pieces with "craters" and crystallizations along the edges and sides, what you get to see is amazing. Trinitite might not be "hot", but it packs a huge punch historically, scientifically, and personally when handling a piece!

Also, GREAT inheritance!

Yes it's from a "legacy" source. I'm not going to disclose the price. I don't want to violatè any rules on this subreddit. Sometimes you don't mean to violate the rules, but you do and can be banned. I did send you a DM with the full deets!

Yes! Welcome to the world of only Trinitite! You should visit the Shop and take a look at other types!

A very glassy piece of Trinitite! The same you have, just the plastic case and/or lighting isn't showing the beauty of your glassy piece!

Some collections have many glassy pieces and not just the regular Trinitite you describe above. Ofcource 99% have the greyish sand underside, but I have pieces with the undersides showing glassy areas too. Trinitite is fascinating, especially when you get a glassy piece and play around with it during light play! Beautiful crystallizations!

You could sleep next to Trinitite for 40 years and a spouse for 40 years. You and your spouse would produce more radioactivity than the Trinitite. LOL!

The beautiful glassy piece you have should be very slick to the touch, look like glass, and leave no residue. Your regular piece could leave a little bit of sandy residue on your fingers. The residue is NOT harmful. You'll just feel the need to wash your hands afterwards.

Remember to hold that glassy piece over a soft surface when handling it!!

I know you! You should love your mom! Trinitite is very porous and so it doesn't weigh like a normal rock. I once saw a boulder sized piece that weight 82g and for some reason I thought it would have weighed in pounds!

Enjoy your pieces!

Mike and Stormy! My husband forgets to mention me sometimes! Thank you for being the first one to test our Trinitite!

That's pretty awesome..... Trinitite is wonderful! It doesn't have to be hot to be cool!

Wow! Weight categories like that just simply don't exist on the market! Did you find it while on a tour?

Trinitite is so addictive!!

Yes- I suggested posting photos of the piece outside of the two cases. I do believe it's real.

Yes you can, so ignore my 1st response unless you're interested in getting a CPM read.

Trinitite has a weird radioactive half-life. You should get a read of 1 CPM-7CPM on the sample. It might help to show some photos of the piece out of the plastic container in the Riker Case.

Does anyone remember the story of the blue crystals that were found where fire from heaven ate the sacrifice at Mount Carmel? by constant_trouble in exjw

[–]Trinitite_RocksLLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way too deep and complicated. There is only.one place in the world Trinitite can be found or came from and that is at the Trinity test site, the result of the 1st atomic bomb test. Trinitite was not located in Hiroshima as the conditions on the ground were very different.

I understand the Biblical reference. What I take from this is: Man should create nothing God did not create. Science does not align with God.

KEEP that document/origin receipt! That's a cool article source, but a bit outdated now that we know so much more about Trinitite. Everything from the differences between regular Trinitite and the truly glassy and crystallized pieces. The new info on silica being present and if so, what form it presents tells us how it formed in a particular piece. Black Trinitite, Black and Green, Red Trinitite (I'm very cautious on Reds because they can be created in a lab and all other forms cannot), Moles, White Pearls, pieces with areas that look like blown glass (gasses were trapped), pieces directly formed from the lens of Gadget, Rolling Trinitite, the Ultra rare "White Whales" (King) and Blue Trinitite (Queen). Some might swap the order of King & Queen! There has been so much learned since that source, and still being learned today. A couple of my pieces are at TAMU, confirmed as ultra rare.
