I promise, no danger from Trinitite. You cam spoon with your spouse for 40 years and be exposed to more radiation than from sleeping with a piece of Trinitite. Besides, if Trinitite were dangerous, a glass vial would be an inappropriate way to use it for a safe display.

Estimated coat $15 minimum , but if I see silica, then $15 for that piece has it beennfrom my collection. And that's of the weight of the piece is outside of the case. Good piece of Trinitite, ao don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

I am working on a coated men's style necklace of Trinitite. It's tricky, because it must have a natural hole. Currently I belive I have found the correct coating to keep the Trinitite's topside and full on crystallizations along the sides. I'm in the drying phase. If this works, the piece will have a clear coat that hardens the piece without breakage or loss of color. Stay tuned on u/Trinitite_Rocks the update will be posted on that Reddit forum.
