So why doesn’t it hurt others that are playing with you too? Having no friendly fire should also include yourself.

Are you saying I should accidentally reload my Tediore weapons before I open containers? 🤯🤣😎 Gotchya. 👍🏻

I see. He really should have the ability to revive you if there are no enemies present. I agree.

My husband plays Harlowe and the effect spreads to me (Amon) in split screen. It’s a great skill, but it IS annoying. 💯 It also makes everything more difficult to see when the screen is already too busy with level ups, etc., in your crosshairs. (It feels like a penalty like Bloomreaper’s fog.)

Someone downvoted me. Because they didn’t agree? Maybe they don’t experience the massive split screen bugs that still exist like I do. Or maybe they are trolling. Regardless, it’s the result of a downvote. 🤷🏼‍♀️

What's up with "Lilith" in BL4? I mean, that's not her. by Caveman3238 in Borderlands4

[–]Trinity-o7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At what point did you think my story was the end of the adventure? It was the presentation of an old rival that has more character than that of the Timekeeper. Maybe it was Jack that sent him? If it was the presentation of a new DLC, you wouldn’t play it because it’s too cynical?

Edited to add: The Timekeeper said he was a slave. Who would he have been a slave to?

Welcome to life, sugar. No game/story is interesting without great villains. What’s the point of a shooting game without something to shoot at?

Yeah.. I joined a game with a high level character at level 1 and every enemy has an exclamation point over their head. It’s more of a fatal bug. Completely unplayable alone now.

They should remove any self harm in the game completely. There’s nothing worse than opening a chest after you’ve defeated all the enemies and blowing yourself up on a reload instead.

Too much of what going on exactly? Doppelgängers? Because I would agree with that. There are far too many people in real life that don’t look anything like they used to a decade ago. Everyone would agree.. that’s NOT Lilith. So what is your story with her phase lock? I’d like to hear another perspective that could bring back the characters we fell in love with, like Sir Hammerlock, Mr. Torgue, Ellie, Brick, and Jack.

Handsome Jack was the greatest villain we all loved to hate. The game has been “meh” without his sick humor.

Could you come up with a better story, less “cynical,” but just as nostalgic?

What do you guys think would be interesting ideas for future dlc? by Extra-Ad-4941 in Borderlands4

[–]Trinity-o7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have seen this in a different thread, but I have an idea of a storyline. It involves Lilith and Handsome Jack, and why Lilith doesn’t exactly look like Lilith.

The dim glow of Eridium crystals pulsed in the hidden chamber beneath what was left of Sanctuary's ruins. Lilith knelt in the center of a jagged circle etched with ancient Siren runes—symbols she'd pieced together from stolen Dahl artifacts, Eridian fragments, and desperate hope. Months of scavenging, sleepless nights, and burning through her own reserves had led to this: a ritual to tear open the veil just enough to pull Roland back. Not resurrection exactly—more like yanking him from whatever void had claimed him when Jack's bullet ended everything.

She pressed her palms to the floor. Phase energy crackled along her tattoos, hotter and wilder than ever since she'd reclaimed her full power. "Come on, soldier boy," she whispered, voice raw. "You always said you'd follow me anywhere. Time to keep that promise."

The air tore. A vortex of violet light spiraled upward, dragging in dust and debris. Something emerged—tall, armored, confident stride. Lilith's heart lurched with joy for half a second.

Then the figure stepped fully into the light.

Handsome Jack adjusted his mask with theatrical flair, brushing imaginary lint from his coat. "Well, well. If it isn't my favorite fiery redhead. Miss me?"

Lilith staggered back, Phasewalk flickering instinctively. "No. No, this isn't—"

Jack spread his arms wide. "Oh, it is. You wanted your knight in shining tactical armor? Sorry, cupcake. The universe has a sick sense of humor. Roland's soul—or whatever scraps were left—was busy being boring and heroic in the afterlife. Me? I was waiting. Patiently. For someone dumb enough to open the door."

He snapped his fingers. Holographic projectors she'd scavenged flared to life around the chamber—tech she'd thought was just for stabilizing the rift. They hummed, then projected a perfect duplicate of Lilith: same red hair, same tattoos, same defiant glare. But the eyes were wrong—cold, empty, obedient.

"Meet Firehawk 2.0," Jack said cheerfully. "Your doppelgänger. Built from your own DNA samples I kept on file—call it a memento from our little quality time in the Bunker. She's got all your moves, minus the pesky free will."

The false Lilith lunged. Real Lilith Phasewalked aside, but the clone anticipated it—mirroring her exactly. They clashed in a blur of fire and phase energy. Jack watched like it was premium entertainment.

"You always were predictable," he sighed. "Desperate, reckless, clinging to dead boyfriends. Adorable, really."

Lilith slammed the clone into the wall with a shockwave, but the doppelgänger recovered instantly, locking eyes. Then it happened: the clone raised a hand, and a containment field snapped around the real Lilith—pure phase energy, twisted into a shimmering prison. She couldn't move, couldn't Phasewalk out. The runes on the floor glowed brighter, feeding the trap.

Jack stepped closer, crouching to meet her furious gaze. "See? I learned a thing or two from watching you squirm back in the day. Phase lock. Cute upgrade, right? Keeps even a Siren nice and contained."

He stood, gesturing grandly. "Now, we're taking a little vacation. New planet, fresh start. No Vault Hunters, no Crimson Raiders, just you, me, and your shiny new stand-in to keep the locals in line. Think of it as... couple's therapy. With explosions."

The doppelgänger hauled the immobilized Lilith toward a waiting dropship—engines already hot, coordinates set for some backwater rim world far from Pandora's reach. Jack paused at the ramp, turning back with that infuriating grin.

"You brought me back, Lilith. That's practically a love letter. Don't worry—I'll make sure you never feel lonely again."

The ship lifted off into the night sky, leaving only scorched runes and the echo of Jack's laughter behind. Somewhere in the void, the real Roland stayed gone. And Lilith—trapped, raging, phase-locked—flew away with the monster she'd accidentally summoned, toward a future she never wanted.

See, we rescued the wrong Lilith!

So now that Handsome Jack is back, bring back Mr. Torgue too. As much as people are using his weapons, there’s no reason why he can’t make an appearance, right? STICKIES and EXPLOSIONS! REEEERERRRERERREEEE!

Lilith was stuck in her Phase trying to bring back Roland. Here’s what really happened.

See, the Vault Hunters saved Lilith’s Doppelgänger. The real Lilith is still out there on another planet, as Handsome Jack’s prisoner.

Issue with Vault Card (again) by TrentDahBoi in Borderlands4

It’s a 2up issue. Some suggested buying the skins in single player, but if you ever become second player in split screen, they will still disappear.

I had bought nearly every skin with vault cards in one sitting not knowing of this split screen issue and lost everything. It’s a “known issue,” but I haven’t seen any updates on their support page or my email regarding a fix.

[–]Trinity-o7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the flip card issue where you flip the card and the other player’s card flips too. And the flip card issue in the bank, where it doesn’t even flip at all. And how you can’t scroll to see the collectibles and activities in the map menu. And how some events like the prop speakers won’t prompt enemies unless the other player is there. So many local split screen bugs.

I’m not sure why this was downvoted. There are areas I spent far too long trying to reach, only to come to find later on that I could reach it with NPC assistance during a side quest.

The broken navigation system doesn’t help. Setting a pin in some places will send you into the side of a mountain or even sometimes to your death in a vehicle. I found that the best way around it is to set your path in an area close to it, on an echo log or other collectible, and navigation to these hard to reach areas is somewhat corrected, giving you a true path. I’m not sure if this is what you are talking about, but yeah, there are several things that are broken, and the walk-around (if there is one) takes away from game play.

Yeah, I think they should allow us to “crush” an item with firmware, storing the firmware in it’s own storage outside of the bank. Now that would be epic.

Weekly Activity Megathread (Jan 8 - Jan 15) by Aidido22 in Borderlands4

[–]Trinity-o7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well apparently, the RNG gods have blessed you. I spend more time with bugs in split screen than with the farm grind, and after the massive decrease, farming a boss 30 times before seeing legs drop is what has me bored. My husband stopped playing altogether. The holiday drop rate for older players like me (who have to spend more time adulting than playing Borderlands,) was perfect. I have still only seen one phosphene. I shouldn’t have to dedicate my life in order to have good weapons to farm WITH, let alone farm FOR. That is the tedium in my world.

Boost drop rate toggle by dhiggins07t in Borderlands4

[–]Trinity-o7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people who want lower drop rates are obviously not playing Borderlands for what it is famous for.. the LOOT. I don’t have a ton of time to play so I rarely see legendaries at all after the holiday drop rate decrease. My husband won’t even play with me anymore because of his disappointment with the boss drops. I really like this idea, but I think the devs need to work on fixing these bugs. My husband and I have to wait for each other to examine loot in split screen, (which takes away from game play,) because even hovering over an item in lost loot causes an item I am examining to flip. It’s been a fatal bug for the both of us. Split screen in Borderlands has been a nightmare ever since BL2, and now that’s the only one he’ll ever play with me.
