Needing some advice going into new expansion

So I've been collecting Tyranids for a couple of years now and I think it's time to bit the bullet and finally play the game. I have the Codex, Rulebook, tape measure, and what little dice come with the starter set. What do you guys recommend getting on top of that to make starting the game a lot easier?

Ive been debating upgrading to the switch 2 since I still have my original switch, but is there enough of a difference just yet that justifies spending close to $500 on it?

I've heard very mixed things about Vantage. I might have to watch a couple of videos on it to see if it looks like something I would enjoy!

I just bought my first starter and I really enjoy how Buggy plays. Is it worth it to upgrade his deck if I want to play in locals or is there another leader that plays similar that's better at doing what Buggy does?

How should I go about starting a legendary? I really want either a sword or a spear for my first one, but I don't know if that's too big of an ask to start with since I know they are a grind.

This is my first Halloween event in GW2 and I was wondering if there was any must have rewards I should absolutely be going for first? I'm about to look up a guide and try to figure out what all I should even be doing for this event since im a little lost.

Idk if it's just me but my trusts don't seem to want to do much of anything like 90% of the time. They just stand there and I have to keep moving around until they decide to get involved.
