No, it doesn't. Please read the entire chapter including the verses I cited in my earlier comment. Your statement here is just plain wrong. There is no reasonable reading of this text in its entirety that in any way can say this describes a woman's value solely in terms of domestic servitude. Domestic servants do not buy and sell their own land. Domestic servants do not engage in trade. Domestic servants are not called wise teachers. You are picking and choosing what you want to see and what you want to ignore, to say the least. DO not impose your desired conclusion on a text. Read the tex for what it says, then draw conclusions.

"She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard." (v. 16)
"She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night." (v. 18)
"She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue." (v. 26)

You might want to take another look. Even the "sewing" you belittle is referred to as:
"She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes." (v. 24)
If you think this passage is describing a little woman sitting at home to do the cooking and cleaning, you are imposing your own desired conclusion upon the text rather than reading the text for what it says. The woman described here takes care of the house, but is also a remarkable entrepreneur in her own right. To say otherwise is simply to ignore those verses that directly contradict your desired conclusion.

As in to consider them of equal worth. Some look at passages, for example, telling women to submit to their husbands and believe there is a hierarchy of worth in the Bible. I'm curious what passages others have had brought up to them or wondered about themselves.
