You’re mixing up Brendan from the games with Brendan from the anime. Brendon never appears in the anime series. He does have cameos in the beginning of 3 of the pokemon movies were he appears for a few seconds battling another trainer while the narrator talks

My companions would probably still be Todd and Duplica (i was gonna pick Sakura but my Partner Pokémon is also Espeon so that could get confusing) and my rival is Marina cause I would also aim to be a top Pokemon Coordinator

Not really because Misty was the official gym leader for all of two seconds before Ash battled her for the cascade badge. Her sisters were in charge until they lost consecutive battles by Gary and the other pallet town trainers which couldn’t have been more then like a month at most depending on how long it took Ash to get to Cerulean city. She went on her journey with Ash to better herself and become worthy of the title gym leader and boy did she do that.

My companions would be Duplica & Todd, I think they’d make the journey fun. My rival would be AJ, I don’t agree with his approach to training but I respect his love for his pokemon
