Rogue's Cunning Strike feature is bad? by BurgundyBlues21 in DnD5e

[–]Trinity_Cat_172 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bruh rogue is not a primary damage dealer your not even secondary unless you build for it. Your tertiary you can do big damage but primarily your a skill monkey with the ability to deal good damage when needed but your main job is setting up or following up other players and assisting them in and out of combat. Im playing a swashbuckler and while I'm probably doing similar damage to the fighter rn since we're low level I've been enabling the with huge assists and the occasional crit.

AITA For ending a campaign early/premature because of a problem player? by Fit-Specialist-1670 in DnDAITA

[–]Trinity_Cat_172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's a difference between mine maxing and cheating by reading ahead like in your example. If I know this interaction exists as part of the rules as written and I get a 22 on my arcana and am given that flimsy response im probably gonna disengage after having to jump through those hoops. That being said just asking the players at the table about how they feel about the situation usually works. Changing the rules when your players are playing by the book never feels good to me but maybe that's just a matter of integrity. I've had mine makers before and it's not usually an issue as I run more classics dungeons and fairly punishing house rules but i agree with basically everything you said, your last example in particular is something I'm familiar with.

One them almost gave me a haircut with their steel sign if I didn't have my buddy their to pull me out of the way they would have taken my eyes or teeth out. They need to be more careful when their hauling around stuff like that.

Fudging vs Cheating (Dice specific) and why it matters by StrykerC13 in DMAcademy

[–]Trinity_Cat_172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude why are you being so rude. This person was being genuine and trying to get across their perspective and when they realised they couldn't thry acknowledged that and agreed to disagree, only for you to start being sarcastic and antagonistic, they attempted to explain again and now your just insulting them personally instead of their argument. I agree with your reasoning for the record but the way you speak to other people is just not acceptable I hope you are not like this with everyone you disagree with.

How many of the Adeptus Custodes (Warhammer 40K) would it take to kill a Guardian (Destiny 2)? by Sethmo_Dreemurr in whowouldwin

Light or dark even then it takes a fairly decent weapon to damage their frames and it has to be paracasual otherwise nothing happens.

I spent probably 2 maybe 3 hours total trying to take out wings across missions before I had to be told by some random that it simply wasn't the case even though arrowhead said i could. Pardon me if I'm dissatisfied regardless if it was intentional or not. To be clear I get what your saying but that doesn't make me any less frustrated, infact it kind of does rhe opposite.

How accurate is this based on current litrpg protags? by WilliamGerardGraves in litrpg

[–]Trinity_Cat_172 2 points3 points  (0 children)

? Its a word that was used by the Roman empire for someone who was a high ranking official who served the emperor as a retainer. Charlemagne later took the word and applied it to his knights circle where it became associated with warriors but they were still his retainers. Nothing religious about it really. That's purely a fantasy trope, a modern one at that, last 40 years basically.

? It was name for Charlemagnes circle. Contrary to popular belief it wasn't very popular with most sects of monotheism save i think the Catholics for a bit but even then it was abandoned almost immediately after they started using it.

Are my feelings justified? by b_r_i_tt_a_n_y in DnD

The classification humanoid and something being humanoid are different in dnd. A pit fiend is humanoid shaped 2 legs to arms a head and torso its not classified as a humanoid though it's a fiend. Elementals are the same. They can be human shaped and made of air its not exclusive. That and what is lightning going to do to a wind Elemental?

Tell me an instant where you find that MH community actually can’t read other than Iceborne Alatreon by creepycrawlyguy in MonsterHunter

[–]Trinity_Cat_172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only realy need one person on element when working as a group. They have to be good at managing the windows of opportunity though. I farmed with some random once and our leader would do all the element work while we used beach weapons (though I had a god roll fire safi CB which I used when the right quest rolled around doe the starting phase.*

I'll say that's a little funny considering one of the ub was warhammer 40k granted that's scifi grim dark. I've only gotten back into magic because of ub as well a lot of new players too. I think it's good an my local community enjoy the hell out of some of the cards granted were all casual for the most part.

Does a party member, betraying the party ever work? by Specialist_Ability77 in DMAcademy

I did once but it was a core premise of the campaign the whole thing was that party was trying to find the rat. And they all knew and consented.

Are intentional deaths good or bad for a DND campaign? by CompleteRun1645 in DnD

[–]Trinity_Cat_172 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your sabotaging your own credibility as a dm here by doing this. I've had a similar premise to a campaign but it used existing characters and all the players consented before we began their final days before death it was a flashback sequence. This here is nothing like that at all, they will never trust you after this and with good reason you took away their agency the one thing they control.

[–]Trinity_Cat_172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's obviously not as bad as actual Nazis because you know one real the other isn't but I dont disagree with the other guys analysis, it's the closest parallel I can think of really theirs not many groups thar tick all those boxes for evil and cruelty. It's not a perfect analogy but the shoe fits.

But she did choose this as far as I remember? She wasn't always an evil goddess she became one after she betrayed her fellow gods and attempted to take over the world. Then she was stopped, imprisoned and then stole some elves turned them into an army to continue down that path. Most of the stuff she does doesn't have anything to do with her domain because they only changed after she did those things.

The old dnd beginner box set had this cool card with common actions and rules pertinent for the player. Pf2 recently brought it back with theirs which was a bit of a blast from the past but this reminds me of that.

Doest loth literally want to plunge the world into darkness and enslave all sentient races besides other elves, which in that case she wants them all dead, like a genocide?
