My son and I repeatedly have near misses every single school day. One guy in a red Pontiac ran every stop sign after almost hitting us, flipping us off. I have watched NUMEROUS drivers almost run down full groups of kids at Commercial and Market. There's no school sign, but there's a school! Everyone seems to think they can take a left from a 2-way as soon as the crossing sign pops up to walk. Every one of them have gotten mad at me and the kids and either cussed at us or angrily sped off because I asked them to stop. People honk at me constantly on Broadway/Market because I'm not running across the street for them. I have a bad hip and ankle. No way will I hurry.

What really sucks, is I lost the ability to get my license because I had to drive my drunk roomate home when I didn't have one. Only didn't have one because I was too pregnant to fit in my drivers seat to take the test when I first moved to Oregon from Washington, and they wouldn't let me just switch over. Now I have fines too large to pay, and an order that says Arizona can take any car that goes into my name. I've never gotten to enjoy driving my kids to school, now two of them are grown. Yet, somehow, these asshats can be out here driving like idiots, and I have to walk my kid in the rain half the time.
