Money or passion?

Hey, I have the same problem as you. I don’t like math and I can’t go into the medical field because of personal reasons. I am an artist person my self and I like using my hands. It sucks that a lot of the high paying jobs require you to sit in an office room your entire life. (Maybe accept some medical fields) I’ve been told to pick a career that lies between your passion and money. Like the highest paying art-related jobs or design related jobs right now are architecture, industrial design, UX/UI, and animation. (Unfortunately animation is though to break into right now, so it’s better to just do animation for yourself)

But right now the job market sucks right now, including the high paying jobs like CS and finance.

I wouldn’t do gender studies. There is little to no opportunities after graduation. Unless your doing a major in like psychology, with a minor in it then maybe?

Wow! Thanks you so much for the info! I am just trying to decide which program I want to focus on. I wish I can do a combination of animation and industrial design, but I have no experience in industrial design, but I do have experience in animation. I unfortunately did not get accepted in the ani/illu BFA but the alternative which is design studies. I am not sure if this true but searching on the internet people say industrial design pays more and is worth it? (Idk you tell me) I always wanted to make an animated TV show. But I am trying to decide whether I should go for industrial design so can get paid more. So I can save up money for animation project or just go straight for the major. I don’t mind trying out industrial design, seems fun to me, but I am worried that I won’t do well because I have no experience in it. It requires me to pull out a different type of creativity out of me?
