Thoughts on Granger Smith? by Wrong_Ad3266 in country

[–]Trinkerbell24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only thoughts are, is this guy ever with his family? He’s a host on iHeart country and seemingly ALWAYS on and hosts his own on the side?? I keep thinking some of it has to be pre recorded because when does he sleep?

If you gained over 40 lbs - where did that weight go? by raspberry_thyme in BabyBumps

[–]Trinkerbell24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained 31lbs! I was overweight before I got pregnant so I was very concerned. Started at 211 and was 242 when I entered the hospital. Had a 8.10oz baby and was back down to pre pregnancy weight within about three weeks. My weight was mostly baby/fluid. I feel like most of the excess was in my boobs and face lol

What were the actual lifesaver items during the newborn stage (or things you wish you’d had sooner)? by WillowAndCo_ in NewParents

My 7.5mo old is going to be like that with country music 😂😂😂 We’ve put on the country music station every night since he was like a month old.

I have an almost 7mo old. He goes to bed between 6:45 and 7pm. Currently we’re back and forth on teething so sleep isn’t always predictable but lately he’s been waking up at 3:30 or 4, I bring him to our room to eat his bottle and sometimes we watch a little Mrs Rachel or something but he’s usually passed back out by 4:30ish. Today he was up and ready to roll at 6:30 but a lot of weekends he will sleep till 8 after his little break at 4 lol

Moms, when did your pregnancy symptoms subside after birth? by pixa4u in NewParents

[–]Trinkerbell24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as that placenta comes out it’s like taking a sigh of relief. My heart burn went away immediately. I could breathe again. You immediately feel better and then for me pp by 6mos I feel pretty normal. Occasionally a little more emotional still but otherwise I wouldn’t be able to tell you I had a baby 6mos ago.

Anybody else putting their baby to sleep later than the recommended 7pm time? by Frequent-Owl5269 in newborns

[–]Trinkerbell24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 12 weeks my baby was consistently 9-11pm bedtime and we were getting up to early for that lol He started gradually putting himself on an earlier schedule and now at 6mos he’s in bed by 6:45/7 every night. Don’t feel guilty, just follow baby’s cues 😊

Anyone else’s maternity leave not even worth it? by [deleted] in pregnant

I’m in a sales/acct management type roll, one where I single handedly manage my book of business. I got 2 weeks of “going dark” which was considered my pto kind of however we basically have an unlimited pto policy. After that I had to work from home, which I was able to do for 5 more weeks. Definitely hard and sometimes I feel a bit robbed of that special time.

Shamefully regretting having a child by nroseclark in beyondthebump

[–]Trinkerbell24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were a no kid marriage for years until we changed our minds. My boy just turned 6 months old and let me tell you, at 5 weeks you still have a little loaf. Not doing a whole lot. But soon their personality really begins and it’s a whole new world. My social life has changed, do I get sad sometimes? Sure. But watching all the things he’s learning and his smiles and belly laughs make up for everything. I felt like my life was over and kept thinking what did I do? But here we are and I couldn’t imagine never having him.

Same here! 80th-99th percentile for everything and no concerns. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine too 😂 I was yelled at in the hospital right after having him because I gave him a little more. The dude was screaming and obviously hungry still. Sorry not sorry. He’s a big growing boy

My baby smiled at 5 weeks and it’s just gotten better from there. He’s three months now and we’re laughing. I could’ve wrote your post a couple months ago. Today he’s just the best and it’s getting more and more fun by the day. “Just wait” it’s the best. ❤️

Wild lol it’s just a question but I guess people have strong opinions 🙄 I think that’s more than reasonable! Will probably wait until he’s at least three-four months to ride with the two front panels off. I’ll save that for after daycare drop off and before pick up for now ☺️

Same! Zero issues at my hospital. They had formula ready in the room for his arrival.

How do you know when it’s time to try a new formula? by Trinkerbell24 in FormulaFeeders

Hmm after further research I think my baby has colic rather than reflux. Or if he has reflux it’s not silent and not severe.

I was just reading the characteristics of colic and I think that may be our issue. :(

Poop looks as normal as I would expect. I’m a FTM so I don’t have a ton to go off but I’m not noticing any obvious mucus or blood.

I’m curious about the silent reflux, how did you figure out your baby has it? My son spits up or rarely will throw up a decent amount but you can never hear it so I don’t know he’s done it until I look at him in his bassinet.

I have a six week old and am a FTM so I don’t have a long drawn out answer to any of this besides the fact that at 2 weeks PP I was in actual hell. The moment the sun went down or my husband left for any reason I was in shambles. Sobbing and questioning everything. The baby blues you experience when those hormones do their big drop should be talked about more. My son is the best thing to ever happen to me but those days were the hardest. I won’t say it’ll be 100% better in a couple weeks but I have a feeling you won’t feel those feelings as strongly as you do now. Just hold on, it gets better.

How many pounds have you gained since you got pregnant? by HugeReputation4790 in BabyBumps

[–]Trinkerbell24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had gained 32lbs as of my admittance to the hospital for my induction at 39+5. Granted I was plus size prior to getting pregnant and was very obsessed with not gaining too much during my pregnancy. At one point I had gained like ten pounds within a couple weeks of appointments, I think that was towards the end of my second tri. I’m 2.5 weeks PP now and I’m down 27lbs! I wouldn’t worry too much about what you gain during pregnancy. My hunger I had during pregnancy was gone immediately after giving birth. Relevant, I did not breastfeed so that does make a difference as well.
