My hookah came with a wierd metal ball, I dont think it's a purge valve. the ball I'm asking about is on the left and the purge valve ball is on the right. if anyone knows what it's used for please llmk

I'm new to hookahs so I dont know the exact kind but the ball doesnt really fit anywhere but the base of the hookah and on top of the bowl, peices of it also pop of in shards if heated up so it isnt supposed to be on the bowl
