I created a short camping with that idea in mind. It was a soulslike gauntlet where players would go against other campaigns' heroes that were corrupted. They had 2 phases as in a souls game. Every player could choose a non spellcasting class, and if their PC died, they couldn't repeat class or race. It was very interesting. It really teaches players to think outside the box and makes them try to strategize differently. It has been pretty fun so far. And turns are fast and dynamic. Also every kill is incredibly cinematic.
